Starlight Cottage: Unwind in this cozy historic adobe

Unplug and unwind at the Starlight Cottage — a charming, historic adobe tucked away on a corner of the Huerfano River. You’ll have your private corner to relax, reflect, and be serenaded by the gentle song of the river and the birds that call it home. Thoughtfully updated, the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, a comfortable sitting room, and a shaded front garden perfect for morning coffee or evening stargazing. A short walk across the pasture takes you to a corner of the Huerfano River, perfect for a picnic. Pets are welcome with prior approval and a pet fee.
The space
The house includes a spacious, well appointed kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms (queen bed in each), one full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and a living room. The surrounding yard is spacious and the closest neighbor is out of sight providing lots of privacy.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house but do not have access to the free-standing studio (located south of the house) or the shop (located west of the house). Guests are welcome to explore the surrounding property if they stay within the boundaries on the map in the Welcome Book located at the house.
Other things to note
The occupancy of the guest lodging at the standard rate is four people. Any gatherings beyond that number must be coordinated with the Host in writing before happening and will have a $10/person/night extra charge for up to 2 additional people in the house. This home is a part of the larger Redwing Ranch; however, access to the rest of the ranch is strictly prohibited. Redwing Ranch is a working cattle ranch, and there will be times of the year when ranching operations, including flood irrigation and cattle grazing, may occur on the River Cottage parcel. Guests are expected to avoid impacting ranching activities.
