  • Enjoying a peaceful location on the banks of Loch Broom, this three-bedroom cottage is set on a secluded stretch of the shores of the loch, with wonderful views across the water and to the mountains beyond. Pull on your wellies for a walk along the shoreline spotting otters, seals and, during the summer months, the occasional porpoise. Launch your canoe from the beach in front of the cottage, or keep your feet dry with a hike up the hill behind the cottage for views across Ullapool and the Summer Isles. Visit the outdoor paradise of Ullapool (7miles) for an exhilarating speedboat trip across the waters. Cross the Victorian suspension bridge across Corrieshalloch Gorge (7 miles) and follow the woodland trails to see the River Droma crash through the gorge in a series of stunning cascades.

    The spacious holiday cottage provides comfortable and well-equipped accommodation, with views across Loch Broom to Beinn Dearg and beyond. There is a wood burner in the large sitting room, creating a pleasant warm atmosphere on colder evenings. Choose a book from the cottage collection or pop on a film for a quiet night in. The well equipped open-plan kitchen/dining room is a stylish and smart space that encourages sociable mealtimes, and the dishwasher will make the clean up easier. During the warmer months, there is outdoor furniture in the private garden where you can dine with an incredible backdrop. There are three delightful bedrooms: one super king (can be made up as a twin on request); a double and a twin. There are also two recently refurbished bathrooms, one with a bath with shower over and the other with a large walk in shower, both rooms with WC and underfloor heating.

    Outside, breakfast on the patio table as the waves lap against the loch and eagles cry overhead or find your favourite spot to sit on the lawn and soak up the mountain air. As the sun sets, light a fire in the stone fire pit and toast marshmallows while you tell campfire tales. Step down to the shoreline and dip your toes for a paddle or enjoy a wild swim in its clear waters. Launch your canoe from the beach or spend the afternoon fishing on the loch. The land surrounding the cottage has woodland perfect for den-building and minibeasts walks. There is parking for three cars.

    - 2 bathrooms - 1 bathroom with bath with shower over and WC, 1 shower room with WC, both with underfloor heating

    - Electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher

    - Utility room with sink, washer/dryer and second fridge

    - Electric storage heating and panel heaters

    - Electric charged via meter reading and will be deducted from security deposit on departure

    - Wood burner with logs, kindling and a firelighter starter pack

    - TV, Roku stick with Apps, DVD player, radio/CD player

    - Garden furniture

    - Parking for 3 cars

    - Nearest shops, bars and restaurants 7 miles

    - 1 dog welcome - "additional dog considered at owners discretion"

    - Please be advised that the owners, although not in residence, retain several rooms which are locked

    - Please note there is a refundable £200 security deposit payable direct to the owner for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday
