Our stay started out a little bumpy. As we went to check in we realized that the previous guest had yet to leave. There was clothing and food all over the cabin so we quickly left and drove back to cell service to call the local contact.
She was super helpful and after an hour or so directed us to a different cabin where we could spend the night. It was an upgrade from the simple cabin we had rented to use as our base camp and we were grateful to finally have a place to rest after a 14-hour travel day. The next afternoon a rep from Evolve called to let us know we needed to head back to our original cabin.
Once we made it back, we found the cabin ready for us and fairly clean. I knew they probably had to scramble to get someone over to clean it on short notice so I wasn't expecting white-glove clean, just livable. And it pretty much was. There were still dishes in the dishwasher and the spatulas in the drawer had food stuck on them, but both were fixed easily enough by us.
The fans were super squeaky and when we turned them off we did notice a pretty thick layer of dust. The emailed wifi password was incorrect, but after a little trial and error we were able to get online. We’ve stayed in rentals before and always had our own unique code for entry so keeping the same code which would give any prior guests access was a little different.
