“Excellent staff. They were quick to check our room for any damage after the earthquake. Staff was friendly and adressed us by name. They were always willing to help and answer any question. The location is Excellent. Kind of tucked away so you dont hear the busy main street but close to walk to.”

“This hotel is in real need of renovation. This was not at all value for money. Hotel was dark at night and felt like a ghost hotel, we only saw two other guests. We had no water in our shower on day we checked out so we weren't able to shower before heading to the airport.”

“Spent 3 days with family in Patrick's. Booked a family room which was supposed to have a refrigerator according to hotels.com but that was not true, only seaview rooms has, this is not the fault of the hotel obviously. As for the hotel, i will be fair. Staff is great, helpful and friendly. Food taste good, hamburger was yummy and so was the curry, however most portions will not make you full. If's a bit expensive and time from ordering until we got the food was 1 hour which is too long...

“The facilities are really nice in general but the new rooftop hangout is going to really make this hostel stand out when things go back to normal. Such a great place to hangout, have drinks after surfing, watch movies on a rainy day or play play or other games with other travellers! Also loved the location and privacy the beds give you. Feels like your own little room inside your dorm”
