Allt var bra förutom den lite märkliga lösningen att få tvåbäddsrumet att bli ett trebäddsrum. Lösningen innebar att de hade ställt in en stor extrasäng som täckte i stort sett hela golvet.

Fake marketing, dirty, no hot water, and bad servi
Please read before booking, pictures, and video attached. It's mine humanely responsibility to disclose this important information and experience with other travellers. This hotel is not even close to its version in the marketing material. It lacks basic expected standard and services. I stayed in the Executive room from 5-11 Feb. First evening, I had to attend a business dinner with clients sweaty and dirty because the shower lacked hot water. They sent a plumber, which fixed it while I was out. Thursday morning, I had to take a work organised shuttle bus at 8am to a conference outside Geneva. Again, there was no hot water, and this time, I ran to the gym's shower in another building, missing breakfast and the bus, forcing me to take a taxi. What the hotel do? They write an excuse postcard with a chocolate bar, see the picture. Staff working in this hotel are totally dissempowered and can't make logical decisions to satisfy guests. They just stare at you and repeat the same phrase, we are so sorry. I have roughly 100 hotel nights per year, my baseline for comparison is good. There are much better options. According to the hotel, for security reasons, there are no irons in the rooms. Instead, they have this dirty room, with broken irons, irons which colour your shirts, and damaged boards covered by bedsheets. This is what they call luxury Royal hotel. Please take my advice and book another hotel. The list of reasons can be long. You can book Warwick nearby, not 100% good bu

Bit of a mixed bag. Nice room, but very small. For example there was a table in the room that effectively blocked the access to one side of the bed. The cleaning staff also forgot their stuff in my room. The breakfast was quite limited as well. All in all it was an ok stay though. Having a beer in the bar after a very long day working was a treat. Excellent and friendly service.

We had a really nice stay at Hotel Royal, great location, nice staff and comfortable room. Considering the price in Geneva, we thought this hotel was a great deal! Can definitely recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel in the city and close to the UN
We had a long week-end in Geneva and the hotel was very well placed for walking around town and next to the lake. Also for visiting the UN which we sometimes do through work.

An awful experience. Turns out, there is a difference between an Executive room for three & an Executive Suite, though this is unclear on the hotel's website & also at Expedia. When we arrived, after traveling for more than 24 hours, our room was not ready. (It was after check-in time.). They arranged another room, which turned out to be directly across from construction. After we checked in, we heard hammering & drilling. The room was tiny, with the sofa pushed up directly against the bed. No room to maneuver & the TV didn't work. Expedia was unhelpful & told me to go to the lobby; I did, in my slippers. I explained the situation & was told that I had booked a "basic" executive room, not a suite. I asked if the room we had been given was exactly like the one I had booked, because it did not look so from the pictures. Barely functioning, I asked for an upgrade - given this was a VIP booking. Told I would have to pay 65 CHF/night, I burst into tears, a manager was called, and they agreed to 35 CHF/night. At that point, I would have done anything for some sleep. Breakfast was 30 CHF/day/person, & when stores were closed for Easter, I asked for a water at the bar and was charged 9 CHF. For an allegedly 4-star hotel, service was appalling. Housekeeping did a nice job, and some staff were friendly. But overall, an extremely disappointing stay. We often travel internationally & it's been some time since I've had such a terrible time. Would not recommend this hotel.

Very nice welcome upon arrival for a seven night stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find chocolate and wine as a special birthday present in my room . My only advice to the hotel is to remove one piece of furniture given the small room size. I’d come back again.

We stayed for 2 nights in a family suite room, which was very spacious. The location of the hotel is great- the tram stops right outside the hotel and gets you to old town in 2 stops. The breakfast was also very good with lots of good options. Highly recommend and would consider staying here again on the next trip.

I wanted to have a coca cola at the bar. After paying for the drink with my debit card, the young girl there gives me a form to fill in providing all my personal details. She says it is for security. I have no idea what this display was supposed to be. What security issue is involved here? I didn't even charge the coke to the room, but rather paid it on the spot which makes it the more weird. This is just disrespect for guests.

We had a junior suite with views of Mont Blanc, had a fridge, dining table & bathrobes. The hotel is close to the train station with tram and bus stop right outside. Travel is free around the city when you have checked in so I wouldn’t pay for train from the airport again. The lake is 5 mins walk away and you can get a free water taxi across the lake to the old town. Staff were very friendly. We paid for breakfast as it was NY but there are lots of places to eat / buy food the area.
