Quaint house
My husband and I came to Colorado to ski. The house was conveniently located to many ski areas. We enjoyed the town, restaurants, brewery etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Christmas Vacation!
It was our first visit to Georgetown and we will be back. The cottage was just as described. The kitchen was well stocked, which was nice because some of the restaurants were closed for the holiday. We really enjoyed playing games in the sunroom area. The train, shopping, and dining were very convenient. We walked to town several times. It was a great house and location. We look forward to returning again.

Perfect stay
This property was just as described. The host was a good communicator. Check-in was easy. Kitchen was everything we needed and more. Beds were so comfortable. The location was perfect for all we planned to do. Perfect for going into Denver and to Winter Park. Locals were friendly. We would stay again!

Quaint Cottage
This lovely cottage was a nice place to stay for my elderly mother and I. It included most amenities one would need and was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were well appointed. Satellite, Direct TV, provided in living room. We enjoyed eating our meals in the sun room. We liked that the cottage included a washer and dryer, too. The cottage is within a short walking distance to shops and dining in Georgetown - where everyone is so very, very nice! Just a few issues but nothing that would prevent me from staying there again. Safety Issues: Outside entry - stairs from Biddle St - no hand rail. Path from house to lower parking stall - completely overgrown and dangerous. I realize this area is naturalized but paths should remain clear and safe. Need handrails installed in tub/shower - for safety. Housekeeping: Floors - very dirty and need a good scrubbing. I was walking barefoot (inside) and the bottoms of my feet were black, within minutes. Dead bugs on window sills and floor in the sun room. Upstairs, steps and bedroom carpet needed to be vacuumed. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher with food crusted on them. We had to run the dishwasher and put everything away. The cushions were locked up so we were unable to use the patio furniture. All in all - We enjoyed the cottage and would stay here again but... the housekeeping and safety issues should be addressed.

Hi, Elizabeth. Thank you for your candid remarks. I appreciate honest input from guests and am happy to take action based on reviews. As for the cleaning issues, I will definitely bring these up with my housekeeper!!! The rail on the patio steps is something that I have already arranged to be installed. The shower rails are a good idea, and I will add some. As for the pathway, it can be weed whacked in a more frequently. The cushions should have been left where you could use them, and I will speak with my housekeeper about that as well. I do hope you feel comfortable returning in the future. I’m having the patio redone as well this fall. Thanks again for helping me to make this lovely old house a joy to stay in. Judith Spater

Awesome House
The house was fantastic for our group. We went skiing every day and used this as a home base. The house was just what we needed to come back to each evening and the local restaurants in town were awesome. Definitely will stay in Georgetown again for another ski trip and would stay at this house again.

Seriously Needs a Deep Cleaning
Location was great and check in was simple. The property itself is cozy and has everything you need. However, it was absolutely filthy and needs care. It was clear there was no housekeeping before our stay. We arrived to two bags of trash piled on top of the kitchen island and two more in the laundry room. The sheets were dirty and we found crumbs in the beds. There was a window wide open with a broken latch. There was hair all over the shower, the bathroom mirror and sink were filthy, and there was urine all over the toilet seat. There was a half eaten cup of cereal in the sunroom and crumbs EVERYWHERE. The floors had not been swept or mopped. We arrived for a family getaway for Christmas and spent our entire Christmas Eve cleaning and washing sheets. We reached out to the owner and spoke briefly. She swore someone broke in and had a party, but it was evident that was not what happened. She offered no apology or way to get rid of of the previous renters garbage, and it stunk up the place by the time we left. Overall, a very disappointng stay, but we made the best of the beautiful town and local spots.

I’m disappointed that you have written this review in light of the fact that I have refunded half of your rental fee and all of your cleaning fee. And I did apologize to you repeatedly!As it happens, my cleaning persons was unable to start her car in the blizzard’s subzero temperatures , even after replacing the battery, and could not get a ride up the mountain so close to Christmas. As for the open window, either there was an attempt at a break in or the previous guests were careless. In any event, the electric bill was very high as a result! As a result of this occurrence, I will find someone who can clean on an emergency basis. My cleaning person had texted me but I had not seen her text and did not realize the situation until notified by the next guest. Sometimes things happen in this business despite our best efforts. As you can see from previous positive reviews, this was a literally a “perfect storm” occurrence!

So special to feel at home here~
Ahh, where to begin? I failed to see any street signs but my GPS led me right to the place - its truly walking distance from the main part of town. Aesthetically its unique and pleasant and Im often disappointed on that score. Loved all the paint colors - it feels like an artists home. Although I ate all my meals out, its a well-stocked kitchen and next time Ill plan at least one meal there. The bed was an ever-so-comfortable cocoon with flannel sheets and nice quality coverings. Could have used a chair or small bench to set things on, but since I was alone I could just use the other side of the bed for my things. It was warm and cozy all of the time, but Id wished for insulating window coverings in the bedroom simply to conserve energy. Overall fell in love with this place within minutes and honestly cant wait to stay in other seasons! Thank you Judith :)

A Hidden Gem
This quaint home was tucked away, but within walking distance of town. The large aspen trees were lovely in the courtyard, but our favorite room was the sunny geranium room. This is where we played games, ate dinner and laughed together. This was a perfect get-away for some long-time friends.

Georgetown Gem
My family of four stayed here for an extended weekend while we explored the area. My son and I went to the Winter Park Jazz Festival for a day while my wife and daughter shopped in Georgetown. The property is just a short walk to downtown shops so we only needed one car while we were there. The king bed upstairs was already broken down into two twin beds where my kids slept. My wife and I had the queen bed on the first floor. The kitchen was well equipped to make our morning breakfasts and popcorn in the evenings. Communication with the owner was clear and prompt. We received the door keycode in ample time before check-in and there was no trouble with the locks. Overall the property is a small home, but perfect for a jumping off point within Georgetown and the mountain area. It was an easy walk to dinner; relaxing evenings away from the main traffic; and well cared for property.

Great location
Georgetown, Colorado is a great place to stay. Not only is the town, itself, adorable and fun, but the Georgetown Loop Railroad is about a mile from the property, the Guanella Pass is a beautiful drive up the mountains just on the edge of town, and more lofty sights like Mt Evans are only a short drive away. Highly recommended.

Great place, great value!
Our party of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) came from FL to ski at Loveland for a couple of days, and were very satisfied with our accommodations. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable, and communication with the owner was very quick and easy. The location was just perfect. Georgetown is an adorable little town, and a nice alternative to crowded resorts. Besides skiing, we enjoyed the Capital Prize Gold Mine Tour, dinners at Coopers on the Creek, walking around town, and just relaxing and visiting at the house. Highly recommended!

Weekend getaway
This was a wonderful house for 2-4. We skied at Loveland for 2 days, 15 minutes away. We had everything we needed and the house was so cozy and comfortable. We walked into the historic area and had a lovely dinner at 511 Rose. If you are thinking of reserving for the mountains; but do not need to be slopeside consider this place.

Cozy mountain home
This home is very cozy and felt like home the moment we walked in. During the day we ventured out to Breckenridge to see the snow sculptures. At night we settled in for some old fashioned family games. The house had Scrabble and it was a hit. We will definitely be booking here again.

Great location, cute property
We came for a three day snow play stay and thoroughly enjoyed the property and the surrounding area. On check-in, we had an issue with the electronic door lock, but we were able to quickly resolve it with the owner by phone. It seems when the temperature hits a certain point (it was in the 20s•) the lock underperformed, but once jiggles a bit, worked fine. Lots of towels, plenty of hot water, satellite TV, and Wi-Fi. Everything you need!

Colorado Getaway
This property was quaint and right downtown close to historical district, property was clean and one of the best stocked property I have ever stayed in. The owner was very helpful easy to contact and was very knowledgeable on the town and gave some good recommendations. If I ever came back I would surely stay here again.

Great stay
It was a great little place for the weekend. Cozy and eclectic. Short distance to all downtown Georgetown has to offer. Very quiet neighborhood. In fact my only complaint is that it’s a little too quiet! The only thing I’d suggest is a fan or two if you need some sound to sleep!

Beware the wind chimes
Nice old ecclectic artist residence. Make sure you contact the host 2 days in advance to get the key code as it is not in the check in info, I didn’t realize I was supposed to do that and on the day of check in it took 5 hours to get a response as she was at a funeral. We had early check in but we were running late, we got the code an hour after we should have checked in. On check out we wanted to confirm we could do a late check out. It was almost 3 hours before we got a response -10 minutes before regular check out, by which time we had packed the cars. Beds were comfy but was awoken numerous times by a wind chime (located on the artist studio by the entry stairs). Had to get get up in freezing temperatures to look for it and disable it using the hook located there. Satellite tv wasn’t working either. I am giving the benefit of the doubt with 4 stars instead of 3 as the wind chime was the only thing that negatively impacted our short stay. Close to town was ideal, place was clean and comfortable.

Comfy Mountain Home
Cozy well-stocked cabin. Plenty of towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, dish towels, vibrant Fiestaware dishes, spices, condiments, strong furnace and a wood-burning fireplace. A 4minute walk over the bridge on the babbling brook into downtown. Even saw a deer one house down when we drove up. I nodded, she nodded, then ambled down toward town. Blissful retreat.

Would have liked if the heat worked
The heat didn’t work in the bathroom and main living spaces. I messaged the manager but didn’t get a response. Disappointed!

The heater was fixed immediately after I received notice of it’s not working. I did not receive a message from Dana while they were in the house, and I’m so sorry for their inconvenience!!!

A nourishing creative retreat
Couldn’t have been happier with my delightful stay here… Home comfortable and well stocked as other reviews shared, from kitchen spices, ice in the freezer, toiletries etc. The space provided a very creative, safe grounded energy for me to do my work as a traveling yoga/movement therapist and commission artist… The outdoor space perfect for sahdana and to create my art to deliver in Golden. All complimented by a beautiful town, with very kind neighbors and some super sweet trails just outside the door. Really looking forward to staying here again, Judith thank you so much for sharing your space.. I enjoyed it thoroughly🌹
