The Space

We're up on our own little mountaintop in the Linderhof neighborhood of Bartlett. It sounds fancy but it just means you get the views without the noise. The house is big enough for two families to share without stepping on each other. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full lower level with its own living area and game room, and everyone has somewhere to go.

The main floor has tall wood-paneled ceilings and big windows that look straight out at the mountains. It never gets old. The kitchen has everything you need: granite counters, a big island where people end up congregating, and plenty of room to cook a real meal. There are two bedrooms on this floor (two queens) that share a bath. The loft is the primary suite with a king bed, private bath, and mountain views from the bed.

Downstairs is where the kids tend to disappear. Game room, TV area, a bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk bed, and a half bath right there. It works great as a second family's own little zone.

Outdoor Living

The deck runs the full width of the house and gets good morning sun. We drink coffee out there pretty much every day we're there. There's a fire pit in the yard, nothing elaborate, just the right spot to end a day with s'mores and a beer. Plenty of yard for the kids to run around while the adults sit and do nothing.

Location

Storyland is literally 3 minutes away, we've timed it. If you're coming with little kids, that's probably why you're looking at this area and we've got the closest spot you'll find outside of being in the parking lot. There's also a golf course right next door if that's your thing.

For skiing and hiking, Attitash is the closest but Cranmore, Wildcat, and Black Mountain are all within a short drive. North Conway with the outlets, restaurants, and breweries is about 15 minutes. Diana's Baths if you want a quick hike the kids won't complain about.

Every season works here. Summer for Storyland and the river. Fall for the foliage, it's genuinely unreal up here. Winter for skiing. Spring for hiking when the trails clear out.
