Pictures are NOT a good representation of House
New pictures need to be taken of the house current status without filters and angles. Pictures must have been taken when the house was first listed. House and furniture is old, outdated, and worn down. Personal opinion, places is over priced and misrepresented.

We have new pics and the property has been fully remodeled. Please disregard this review because the property has new furniture and new kitchen etc. and has been remodeled ! one block from the beach

Home was good although some improvements could be made.
We had a great stay at this location although there were some things that could be improved upon. The pots, pans, and dishes were all dirty inside the house. We had to re-wash every dish that we wanted to use, which was a pain to have to do. Which if you’re paying a good amount of money to rent property everything should be clean. I shouldn’t have to clean up after other guests that were there before me. The house was nice although it is dated, the deck to enter is a hazard, as some people fell because of the mat that is falling apart on the outside deck. The photos from the listing are dated because the house no longer looks like those photos. (Painting, photos appear to make the house bigger than it is, backyard not up-kept). The best part was the short walk to the beach and the beautiful view we got to enjoy. Overall, the house was okay although for the amount of money you are paying I expected a more up-kept house.

Great area
We enjoyed our stay here. A beautiful area with a lot to do. This property is more dated than the pictures lead you to believe but it is still nice. Very stocked kitchen. Julio was very helpful and great to work with. Only complaint is the listing is not accurate in parking spaces. That is the main reason I chose this house and we could not park everyone’s vehicle here.

Not as advertised. Read the reviews; unkept and overvalued w/ complacent management
We can not recommend this property or Luxe Vaca. Beginning w/ the property: The use stock photos does not set proper expectations on the property itself. The proximity to the beach is great, but the home was run down with a number of safety/ health concerns. Specifically; missing/faulty smoke detectors, mold covered the ceiling of a bathroom whose shower trim was installed backwards and spun in circles making getting a comfortable temperature frustrating with the surprise of burning or freezing water. One balcony had loose and swaying walls/rails (6" + of movement), sloping stairs with moving handrails and weathered mats to cover the poor condition of the balconies resulting in trip hazards and ultimately causing me to fall /skin my shoulder. The driveway has a sink hole large enough for a foot to step in that would be a hazard for anyone arriving at night/ not seeing where they stepped. We were told that a bear broke in a couple weeks prior and at least 2 doors did not close properly with one that we could not get to lock. Health and Safety aside, the kitchen cabinets were filthy/sticky with a number of broken appliances/ defective utensils that no one bothered to removed. We were not successful in getting any of the TVs to work in the bedrooms and could barely enjoy the yard with all of the furnishings covered in dirt, spider webs with burrs throughout. Regarding LuxeVaca, they did initially respond and addressed some of the items while we were there. Some staff was friendly, although one of the local contacts argued with us and was rude in taking our complaint. Because of the health and safety concern, the local rep 'escalated' and only after several follow ups, did we hear from the Director, 5 days later. Shocked by the lack of response, we dug into the reviews and it became clear we were not the first to surface the concerns. We were offered a concession for situations like ours if we sign a release preventing guests from being able to review their stay. LuxeVaca does not accurately represent the property and may be out of compliance w/ local ordinance. The listing notes compliance with OSHA hotel/ lodging regulations, use of ozonators to filter the air, however, mold, dilapidated stairs, swaying balcony rails and flashing light on calling for ozonator filter change suggests that conforming to these standard is not actually something enforced. Had we received timely/ professional responses, this review may look different.

Walk to family friendly cove
Over all this property is perfect for several family members. Each floor has two bedrooms and full bathroom. Bedroom doors shut out a lot of house noise. Kitchen area was great to cook most of our meals, plus bbq. Property manager delivered full tank of propane for us to bbq several days. Game room was fun for adults n children. Jacuzzi was clean n in good working condition. Fenced back yard. Cabin attached to property was amazing. Over all the property offers so much, and being able to walk to cove was a big plus. Our grandchildren learned to kayak in cove, and went fishing for crawfish. Rented a pontoon for family and had a blast. House was great for staggered ages of children. All of our family really liked the different levels of the house. My favorite aspect was, we could all walk to the cove, and didn't have to drive small children to a big populated area. Love the balcony's at night. We are hoping to return, because the greater majority of property was awesome!!

It is a great house but it needs a lot of work.
The whole thing was broken and run down. The furniture needs replacing. It was painted with very cheap paint that was sticky. Everything felt dirty. The canoe had holes that were not discovered until my son was out in the lake and the boat overturned. The location is great and the only redeeming factor.

Run Down Home
We had a great time in Tahoe but found many things in the home was run down and dirty. The steps out the back door were being help up with cinderblocks and shifted when stepped on, definitely a liability and accident waiting to happen. We found lots of dust and cobwebs in the home, like it had been empty for awhile. You can tell no one really checks up on the home by the missing light bulbs, TVs that don't work and many repairs that need to be done. One of the kayaks has a major leak and my son was out on the water when it was discovered. The propane tanks to the bbq & firepit were empty but was refilled the following day when we asked the local contact. Spa was completly turned off but luckily my husband knew to turn on at the breaker and how to use panel to turn up heat. Definitely felt it was not worth the money paid per night due to the issues we encountered and the status of the home condition.

10/10 would recommend
The house was very spacious with more that enough room for a group or family (we were a total group of 16 people and 2 pets). Zorka the property manager was very responsive and accommodating as well as Julio, the staff on site. The house was clean and had plenty of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom items readily available. The location of the house is pretty near the lake, only about a 3-5 minute walk. The check-in/ check-out process and house rules were fairly easy to understand. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and we would love to come back again.

Great size and facilities. A little worn down
Generally brilliant place and communication was perfect. The place has loads of great facilities and is near the lake which is great. It’s quite worn down and needs lots of tlc around the house. The furniture is very cheap and tacky and both sofas are falling apart. It wouldn’t cost much to fix so it’s a pity that no serious investment is made in looking after it. We had a lovely trip - I have stayed in nicer places though but we were a bit last minute coming by this. Would come again if there was not a better option!

October family gathering - great location!
We had 15 plus an infant plus two dogs. Plenty of room for everyone. Great value. Not fancy, but very clean and functional. Beautiful view with slivers of Lake Tahoe. Short walk through beautiful neighborhood to secluded beach. Julio was very attentive, polite, and responsive. Young adults enjoyed Miner's cabin ambience, downstairs game room, playing pool, and spa! Plenty of room to spread out. Cooked all meals indoors , including balcony BBQ. Wood stove was very cozy! We will definitely come back!

Great stay close to the water about 1 minute walk down hill. To the sandy beach is 5 min.
Good place pretty clean, it need some upkeep loose door handles, cracked entryway looks like it was kicked in some time ago, some stairs and railing wiggle, just needs some maintenance attention!! Over all it was good!

Good house for big families that can use improvements
We had a great time! The kitchen is very wel equipped. The man who met us at arrival was great and he would come clean the snow off balconies. I would have some suggestions, the house is a little run down.. there’s some painting that either never finished or just a very bad job. Also the stair were a little dirty. We also had a mouse in the outdoor room/ small kitchenette place. Otherwise we are not that picky and we enjoyed our stay!

First off it was a nice place and pretty spacious. I was running late but had family members that was near so I called ahead and the property manager helped them get to the house with the pin to the key box. When I got there I did a walk through, and noticed the doors frames were damaged already, instantly I texted the property manager and let him know right away. He explained and acknowledged that they were already damaged. Later that same evening we fixing the bed downstairs as we were about to settle in, the bed frame broke, definitely not us because we just got on the bed to fix the bed sheets, and it broke, texted property manager right away again, and again he was really cool with it, even came out the next day to improvise on the bed frame to make it sleepable. Down stairs bathroom didn’t lock, but we just opened the drawer inside and it helped kept the door from opening all the way. Parking is a little tight so carpool if possible. It says 8 spots but really is like 5 or 6 pushing. Over all, it’s a nice place, In wouldn’t mind renting again later in the future. But I advise do a walk through first and let the property manager know of anything that catches your eyes.

Great family vacation
We really enjoyed the proximity of lake, hiking trails and shopping. The home is great for keeping a family entertained with pool table, foos ball, corn hole, bocce ball and hot tub. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding. Bedrooms get really hot at night, probably should have turned heat off but it’s the old school slow hot water heaters so we were afraid of it taking hours to heat main areas which stayed cooler. Beautiful home 😁A few things need attention, Hot tub needs a new cover one side is broken into pieces and there’s styrofoam floating in tub and one propane tank for fire pit was empty. We enjoyed our stay, property manager was very responsive and helpful. He probably would have filled tanks if we asked, but we stayed so busy that it wasn’t a big deal.

Property potential
Cons: Prepare your routes and plan to arrive before sunset because this property was difficult to find. Few things needing TLC. The couch on the main floor falling apart. Couch upstairs falling apart. Foos table screws missing . Toilet seat in the shed broken. Lights out at 10pm. No usage of fire pit/ jacuzzi or anything outdoors. As per Property manager, neighbors will call police. Area entrance to lake too small to do anything. The pros: This home was able to accommodate 14 people comfortably. Huge dining table to enjoy family dinner and great game room area to entertain everyone.

So-so Tahoe
Julio, the man who was actually running the physical property, was an angel. He was kind, he reminded me that I was the one on vacation and he was there to help. He wanted to make sure that our trip was everything we’d hoped. I give Julio himself a gazillion star rating.... Now, the few months leading up to the trip I had zero luck getting in touch with the actual property manager. No returning phone calls, answering messages or emails, never a call to find out why the credit card wouldn’t work, a simple daily maximum, but it took almost 6 weeks for that process to take place. When we finally were in touch with one another she was rude, unprofessional, completely unhelpful, and quite frankly I wanted to cancel my trip all together. I actually dreaded going, until the moment I spoke with Julio. The house itself was fine. Falsely advertised in the description and the photos, but it was fine. The cleanliness wasn’t really ideal either. I purchased my own cleaning products and I left the home three times cleaner than when we arrived. We had a wonderful time. Our family enjoyed and we made great memories. We would love to go back with the same idea, we just probably won’t be using the same property management company.

Jonna emailed me personally several times, she was as everybody this days, worried about beaches open on July as she was thinking about cacelling, she did wanted to do so at a very close date, which was not possible, so she wanted a copy of the contract. We exchange details of hauling and RV to see if was possible to park, and so on, we answered every time, her text and emails. Never told me that she was trying to contact me with no response, or even that she was upset with our time of response: so, you can imagine my surprise when this review comes around. House is as pictures and as described , if at any time renters feel taken advantage of, they normally call, complaint an even ask for money back, but nothing. Her credit card bounced and waited until she contacted us to clear the transaction. Like all small companies in America in July , we were short staffed, so we didn't pursue for the charge, because we figured she will pay . but we charged her card when cleared by her. We do have the best customer service in the Lake Tahoe basin, Julio is part of the staff, and that's absilutely true, he is always within minutes to resolve the issues, reason why we made the extra effort to keep him for checking and help guest even when this year has been difficult, because we dont just lay off people that relays on the income. So, once again, we apologize for what you encounter wrong, and whish you good luck on your next rental. I doubt has as good people on the ground as we do.

Not what the pictures portray!
This place is old and smaller than the pics . Zorka the property manager doesn’t know her properties as she gave mis information about the property and avoided my calls. Julio the on site manager was their saving grace as he was very responsive and provided us with anything we needed. The pictures are not what this place looks like . They are done professionally with amazing lighting therefore makes the place look huge and new. The only thing that saved our vacation was that it was so close to the beach.

Wonderful stay!
We stayed for about 5 days on a family vacation, and the location was wonderful! We initially thought the property was right on the water, but it was about a block away. It didn't make much of a difference to us and we had a blast! The hot tub was lovely and we really enjoyed the pool and foosball tables. What a great trip!

16 of us 11 months to 60 yrs. House and miners cabin had space for all Should have been cleaned better before our stay . Alot Spiders and moths during our stay . Lower refrigerator did not work dring entire stay . Glad they had a couple of minis to supplement. All decks did not get cleaned off prior to our stay . Plenty of parking Some sliding doors did not open and screens off track . Lake access is Great . Overall it fit our needs but we felt that we left it cleaner then when we arrived in general areas . We would stay again if general cleaning was better . Thanks

Taking a break with the family
Property was fabulous -- not too fancy, but with most of what one with need and terrific location. Close to a swimming "spot" and not far from hiking trails. Bring your own beach towels. It's very dog friendly. If you rent this property, you should know, you are being recorded on video in the hot tub and also the manager is recording your noise level. That was weird and uncomfortable. I mention this because if I had been informed, I might have been more comfortable with the idea. Maybe it's in the fine print of the contract, but I don't think so.
