âThe hotel location is perfect, proximity to most of the attractions and places that we wanted to visit. The hotel is antique, the room, the breakfast is adequate. The service is great, and they are very helpful when we asked about transportation and showed us on how to safe money to buy them online. "Hotel with great view on Van Ness, next to california cable car stop leading to port of SFr. Nearby Polk street is nice for restaurants etc. Had a room enclosing the elevator shaft and the noice from was strong. However, I had for some reason no problem sleeping. The good bed might have helped. The restaurant wasnt that that great but there are many nice places around. "
