Excellent B&B comfy bed amazing breakfast

Everything you need. Good hosts. Clean lovely house with a comfy bed. Extremely fulfilling breakfast that keeps you going for the day. I hope I'm in the area to use again.

Our stay at Brookthorpe was very good. We were greeted by Robert who was very friendly. The rooms were very nice a airy lots of room. The breakfast was great we all enjoyed it, would stop there again

Rob was very friendly and welcoming, especially since we arrived late. Great breakfast and clean room. Could have down with a curtain in the bathroom.

Very noise as the B&B is right on a main road. Room quite small and bathroom very small. Also, as this B&B does not have a house number it was difficult to find.

Large room and very comfortable bed.

It was a lovely place large bedroom and comfortable bed. Good breakfast only down size internet poor.

Country lodge with character

A very comfortable hotel with highly professional and welcoming staff close to Gloucester. Cooked breakfast was excellent. I shall return.

last minute booking

I had to find a B&B at short notice as some of the usual ones I use did not include breakfast in the charge. Brookthorpe Lodge was easy to locate and is in an attractive rural location. Friendly owner, comfortable room, modern facilities and good freshly made breakfast. I will use this place again in the future.

Excellence at a far price

Only a 1 night stay, but still very welcoming. Excellent hospitality, spotless rooms, plenty of parking, good WiFi connection, and to round it off a superb breakfast. I hope to return. Thank you.

Brookthorpe Lodge a Georgian stay

Brookthorpe Lodge is and was a fantastic Georgian House and the owners are friendly and happy to help if and when they can. The room I stayed in was at the top of the house in a single room with no en-suite although the bathroom was only a hop and a skip but no jump from my bedroom door which absolutely fine. I stayed for 2 nights and the room was very comfortable with all the essentials covered in the room as well as a sink; TV and; kettle were on hand which was great. I had to leave early on both mornings I was there and the owners were very accommodating for breakfast as well as having an excellent variety of cooked and non-cooked choices for even the most discerning of travellers. Now that I have found this little gem of a place I will definitely be staying here again when I need to stay in the area.

The owner was immensely helpful & courteous

The owner was immensely helpful & courteous. The owner really embodies the term of being a true gentleman. He made me feel welcome from the point if my arrival at the front door. The only drawback I can ascribe to this location is the shower, it's somewhat underpowered. Above that, I would certainly recommend this location to a friend. Craig.

Convenient place to stop

One night stay on way from West Country. Sufficient for 1 night a little bit of traffic as on main route but windows sound proofed this and it was not so noisy overnight. Proprietor was unable to supply cooked breakfast due to illness but provided adequate continental breakfast and we found him very accommodating and friendly.
