Welcome to Dolphin Lookout, a stunning 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom sound front haven in Down East, perfect for your next family vacation. Known for its exceptional boating and fishing opportunities, this home offers serene views from every floor, making it a true retreat.

Enjoy meals at the indoor and outdoor dining tables while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The long dock, complete with a guest boat lift (#2), provides endless activities such as boating, fishing, and crabbing. Relax on the two sound front porches and soak in the breathtaking southwest sunset views each evening.

WHAT IS PROVIDED:
Spectrum Rental Properties will provide sheets and bath towels. Beach towels and equipment is not provided. If you would like information on beach equipment rentals, we are more than happy to provide you with a list. Properties will be provided with a starter kit in each full bathroom and kitchen. Each kitchen starter kit will contain a small bottle of dish soap, two dishwasher pods, sponge, and two fragrance free laundry pods. The kitchen will also have one extra trash bag
Each bathroom starter kit will contain a travel size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, makeup wipe, and body bar.
Spectrum Rental Properties is unfortunately not able to provide additional boxes/bags. This is a starter kit; anything additional will be guests responsibility to provide.

PET POLICY:
Dogs are allowed with a $200 + tax non refundable pet fee per dog, with a 3 dog maximum.
Airbnb guests: This fee is NOT included in your final price. Please notify Spectrum Properties once your booking has been confirmed to add this pet fee(s).
VRBO guests: Guests can only add one dog to the reservation. If you are planning to bring more than one dog, please notify Spectrum Properties to add the additional pet fee(s).
Failure to let us know about your pet(s) could result in a $700 fine.

OTHER NOTES:
-There are (2) security cameras on the property- one faces the boat lift and the other faces the driveway
-Lift can accommodate 22' boat
-Pets should be leashed at all times when outside
-Fireplace is for decoration only
-High Tide is 4ft
-Low Tide is 2ft 8 inches
-Guest boat lift is on the right side of the dock if you are facing the water from the house

Such a comfortable home! Even though there were only four of us, it was nice having the upper floor as a retreat for our two adult kids. We pretty much lived on the porch during the day (fishing wasn't great this trip--we'll get 'em next time). Thanks to local seafood suppliers, we made fantastic meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the view.

Summer 2022 vacation

Great views with large windows facing the water. We saw dolphins, stingrays, and little fish. Located in a rural neighborhood, very peaceful. Very nice to have a dock with a boat lift. Its pet friendly. I would recommend this property and will consider returning.

A Sound Vacation

The house was very roomy and as described. The kitchen was sparse on utensils and other essentials, but we made it work. The grounds were gorgeous and the water was so calm. The guys had a great time fishing and crabbing from the pier. The views from the back deck were wonderful. All in all our stay was very enjoyable and would reccommennd this house for rental.

Wonderful trip and home

This is a terrific spacious home with a great layout. The decks and property are amazing. We loved the 3rd floor with the pool table. Super views all around with amazing sunsets! And the dock and lift make it idea for anyone who wants to get out on the water. Mary- the property manager was extremely helpful and accommodating

Amazing Views!

Dolphin Lookout lives up to its name

We loved staying at Dolphin Lookout. The location made a quiet respite after days spent in Beaufort or out on Cape Lookout. The water views were spectacular, and one of our party fished every day off the dock. The pool table got a lot of use, as did the porch swings. We rented kayaks and were out on the sound every day! Highly recommended. And don't miss the Stained Glass Gallery on Harker's Island. We did a bit of gift shopping there. Our only quibble was that for a house that sleeps eight, we found only one wine glass! Hardly a deal-breaker, but our five adults had to make do with drinking wine out of tumblers . . . . But we saw dolphins every day while swinging on the front porch, so Dolphin Lookout lives up to its name and we highly recommend it.

Beautiful and relaxing vacation

The house was perfect for our family. There was space for everyone to both come together as well as find a quiet place to do things on their own. The views were wonderful and it is on a nice quiet street so we were able to truly read and enjoy ourselves. We were able to drop our kayaks in the back and paddle around as well as enjoy some great fishing off the dock. Caught several sharks and some other smaller fish. We all had a great week!

Wonderful home

We loved our visit to Dolphin Lookout. The home is lovely and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the decks and watching the water. We also had a fun trip to Harker’s Island — which is close by. We hope to return soon!

Relaxing and convenient getaway

Wonderful short trip.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and chose this home due to the dock as we have a boat. As it turns out we were able to use the hydrolic lift which was even better. The home, the view and the dock were amazing. The sunsets were picturesque and the ease of getting to Beaufort/Moorehead for evening dinners was great. Already planning another trip there. The house was well appointed and very comfortable for families with a dart board and a pool table. If you plan on boating please make sure you use navigational charts and know your tides as it does get shallow. Other than that, you will not regret staying here at all!!!
