“Känns som ett hotell med oinspirerad personal. Frukost var dock helt ok.”

“Overall, the property was wonderful my 15 year-old grandson loved going down to the river and walking across on the rocks in the evening we bought a eight dollar pack of four pieces of wood and the front desk had firestarter and loaned us a lighter to start it. Sat by the fire, listening to the river before bed. It was very nice and the front desk had wonderful suggestions for dinner and breakfast was very nice wide selection. The room was very clean. We did have some dirt that may have been...

“Paul, the owner, is absolutely amazing. So many beautiful antiques. Breakfast was delightful. We are coming back again next year!”

“Courteous staff and good location.”

“Cool little escape off a private road - unexpected for the humble surroundings - great details like a steam shower. Pristine property”

“Elevator was out of order the entire 3 days of my stay. I have stayed here numerous times over the last several years. Breakfast not as good as the past. This was WCU homecoming weekend so hotel was full. Parking was premium if you were returning late in evening. Some folks had to park in grass area behind hotel due to no parking spaces available.”

“Good mix of the historic with some modern upgrades. Parking can be a little bit challenging, especially at dinner time.”

“Super nice staff! Really good area! Nice rooms, comfy beds, had a really good stay!”

“Wow! This is an older motel built in the heart of downtown Sylva. It was remodeled in 2024 and they did an excellent job. Once inside the room, you can't tell that you aren't in a much newer hotel. The outside is very well kept. The only thing that makes it feel older is the design of the building. Parking was plenty even on WCU homecoming weekend. Mackenzie, the young lady at the desk was extremely helpful and pleasant. Everything in the room was in excellent working order and the beds were...

“Clean room”

“Vatash (if I remember the name correctly) was very personable. Room had good television options. Didn’t use WiFi, so reception was limited. Thermostat control was great. Quiet and safe. Walking distance to Sylva was good. Nice town with good restaurant options. No usb options, so bring a wall outlet adapter. Shower was good. Coffee in room. Sylva is a nice place to stay when visiting Cherokee. Dillsboro nearby. Be back next year”

“Great and affordable stay!”

“Lovely cabin with a very comfortable bed. A little tricky to find at first. WiFi was great. No cell service. Clean and neat with a warm and homey feel. Good communication. I would recommend this properly. ”
