“I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn since I was a child in the 70's (in Bethesda in Maryland). Nearly 50 years later I stayed at the Holiday Inn at Halifax Airport mainly because of my late arrival at the airport and it was really nice. I stayed in a suite on the third floor and it was spacious, quiet and very clean. The staff in general at the hotel were all very pleasent and helpful. Some of the furniture in the room seemed to be from the 70's and the wooden knives and forks in the breakfast...

“There were no staff, it was self check in and there was coffee, water, juice and yogurt in the common area. The bagged “lunch” was in your room, it had an apple, orange, banana bread, chocolate chip muffin, small granola bar and a krispie crunch. The website did not say that the restaurant was not open 7 days per week. It is an easy walk to the grocery stores and local restaurants. “This was a very happy surprise. The rooms are spacious. Bedding is comfortable. There was a kitchen area and a small dining area and loads of storage space. Modernized bathroom. But the biggest surprise was that the property is on a lake. Governor's Lake. Walk around the property and you come to a beautiful lawn and grounds that are beautifully manicured and a heavenly view. Great sunsets. Prices are reasonable. Pharmacy across the street and TBR across street (tavern) with great food and...

“Good, not too greasy, free breakfast. Kids were happy with the pool that stays open quite late. Small refrigerator in the room quite convenient when you are travelling for several days with your cooler and ice pack. They are pet friendly but ask the price before arrival. We got a 52$ extra charge upon our arrival at the counter and were surprised by the amount. Overall, good spot not to expensive (except dog charges) close to Halifax downtown.”

“All of the staff were professional,friendly and extremely helpful. Parking was easy. The gentleman at the front desk brought a large bottle of water for my B-Pap machine to my room. My room was decorated in beautiful pictures plus it had all the amenities that were needed. The breakfast was delicious with so many drinks and a great variety of breakfast items to choose from.”

“Unable to secure room with my visa. Had to call a friend to come there and use theirs. beer cost 2x more than downtown bars They try to keep selling you food at the bar with every drink. Even if you say not ordering tonight. Extra unexplained charge on the room on top of the room price... I wont be back.”

“The hotel was great and bed was really comfortable however the room was not cleaned and beds were not made for the duration of our stay. After coming back tired from whole day of roaming around you expect room cleaned and a clean tidy bed to sleep in. Also the A/C seemed to stop after cooling and then room would become warm. The fridge frozen our drinks in it. So over all room had it's issue for comfort and cleanliness.”

“A new hotel with a fun theme and great location. Unfortunately very loud doors, lots of sounds during day and night. Cold room with no working AC/temperature. ”

“Breakfast was fantastic. The room was fine for the four of us. The room smelled a bit funky and we had to ask for enough towels, which were brought to us quickly. No charging station for electric cars at the hotel. We could t control the AC easily. But the beds were comfortable and the staff was polite. The food at the restaurant for dinner was excellent and affordable. All in all, we are happy with our stay.”
