We have gorgeous views of Jarret Bay from the front bedroom, reading room, front porch, and sunroom, and fire pit.

Our bedrooms have plush top of the line mattresses. A purple level four king bed in the master. And two Nectar twin mattresses in the secondary room. We also have a full size futon in the front reading room that can sleep two additional guests.

Our kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking adventures.

Bring your own boat or kayak and enjoy the bay using our sand boat launch across the street. Dip your feet in the water and bring some chairs and water shoes as this little sandy spot is sure to please. You can also go fishing or crabbing from the beach across the street.
Our charming home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a family room, living room, dining area, sunroom, and fire pit. Our property is across the street from a sandy boat launch that you are welcome to use.

We are 15 minutes to Beaufort or Harkers Island. 30 minutes to Cedar Island Ferry to Ocracoke, Core Sound, Cape lookout, Atlantic Beach, and so much more!

We are centrally located in a rural area and are directly on highway 70. Our home is at the edge of a curve so you must feel comfortable backing out of the driveway or carefully turning around in the grass. Some guests notice road noise so if you’re sensitive to that, please ask questions before booking. The noise doesn’t bother us or our four kids. See listing picture of the home**

Also across the street you can take a tour of an Oyster Nursery from April-October. Please note, we are pet free due to family allergies. These allergies include all cats and dogs of any kind. Pets or otherwise. Thank you for upholding our no pet policy.

We had the best time here! The house is beautiful and very up to date. We loved the seperate building with ping pong. The house was super clean and all the beds were comfortable. We are very thankful for the home owner allowing us to check in 2 hours earlier than expected since we arrived early. Thank you! We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the quiet getaway in this beautifully decorated home! We had easy access to Harkers/Cape Lookout, Beaufort, Morehouse City and Atlantic Beach and loved coming back each evening. Lovely view of water and sunrise! Owner was super responsive and helpful!

Great weekend get away.

This home is beautifully furnished and has all the necessities. Communication was great and all my questions were answered. The place is close to lots of attractions like Cape Lookout, Cedar Island, Beaufort, and Fort Macon. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Amazing stay!

The only thing negative I can say about this stay is that it is so far from where I live! Fortunately, I love a good road trip! The host and family were amazing! Always available for answers to any questions. Extremely informative and gave so much info before our visit. So organized. I cannot say enough good about this stay!

Great Fishing Getaway

Everything was very clean with all the necessary amenities... even better than the photos. Plenty of room to spread out. Convenient to everything we wanted to do. Guys especially loved the close access to good fishing and kayaking. Check-in/out was flawless. Great communication. Definitely recommend.

Downeast Experience

Love this cottage. Everything one would need to feel at home and be comfortable is right here. Great layout, too. We loved hanging out on the front porch in the mornings and enjoying the view of Jarrett Bay. This is a very special part of the world. There's so much rich history. The local people are some of the most real, genuine and friendly I'v ever met. If you're here, definitely do some shopping at Lookout Grocery. There's some good stuff in there! Lot's of cool things to do around here, especially if you like the water. Beaufort is a short, and very scenic drive away. One of the best parts of our experience here, was Adrianna. She's a great communicator, and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She made us feel welcome, and made the whole experience a pleasure. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a great place to get away for a while. It's a great cottage, and there's so much to do here. I'd come back anytime.

Awesome home, very clean and beautiful, everything we needed. Sweetest neighbors ever. The only downside is distance from convenience. Get what you need from town before you get there if you come in late. That will NOT stop us from coming back.

Refreshing Connection

We truly feel this property receives a 5 star rating for being exceptional from start to finish. This neat, modernized, fun, and energizing inlet bungalow was a real gem. We arrived late Friday night to spend the following day on Ocracoke Island and then return to this residence until Sunday morning. The communication was very thorough from check in to check out. The property owner was also helpful in giving advice to prepare us for a successful ferry crossing. The timing for staying here, based on weather, was rare and amazing for us. Because of all the great seating options from the covered open front porch to the sun room we were in for two nights of exquisite lightning shows out over the inlet. Wow is all I can say. We had great weather for all our day events and when back at the house there were plenty of comfortable spaces to unwind, engage in enriching conversations, and cook together in a well furnished kitchen. We highly recommend this property, the owner, and, the accommodations which were provided. We hope they will add a guest book soon so that we can read about the adventures you (the reader) have on our next stay at this property. Best wishes to you on your next coastal adventures.

Amazing trip

This home was perfect for my family of 3 and the hosts were amazing. The location for us was perfect and we were able to do so much in our week stay in the area. From a day at Emerald Isle driving on the beach, putt putt, Fort Macon and bike riding, Harkers Island and then a night on Ocracoke we were right there. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and comfortable beds and restful sleeping. Hosts are lovely and accommodating.. thank you!! We will be back and this trip is definitely in our scrapbook of wonderful memories forever.

Fall Vacation

Excellent - one of the best stays I’ve had - loved the water and the views- not my first to the area so I was familiar with the things to do and we didn’t go anywhere , just relaxed, tried our luck at fishing and played ping pong! Having not played since the 70’s it was a challenge to move as needed. Super nice invite to use a private dock by homeowners family, that made the fishing easier and a lovely swing to enjoy while feeding the fishes.. Even though it rained most of Sunday, we sat in sun room and listened to the rain on the roof- simple things make life better. Thanks for the memories!

Great Family Vacation!

This was the first vacation my family has taken. Myself, my husband and our two children enjoyed this location so much. First the house was exactly as listed. It was beautiful on the inside and out. Extremely clean, looks to of been remolded recently, and had plenty of room, even for my kids who are 5 and 3. They ran and played in every space this house provided and loved the yard in the front and back. There is a neighbor next door that we spoke to a few times only in passing and they were very nice. I packed detergent, dish soap, and trash bags but was so pleasantly surprised to see the owner provided this. This house does have well water (as listed) which wasn't a problem for us as we brought bottled water for drinking. All of the appliances were very nice. The beds were beyond comfy. The twins feel as though you are melting into them, and the king was soft but firm and was a dream for my husband who has sciatica and hip pains. Getting into the house was very easy. Parking was great and we loved the water hose being right there under the car port for us to rinse off our beach gear and ourselves. We really enjoyed the little play area in the shed. We weren't familiar with the area and didn't know which beach to go to, but the owner had emailed us before we got there explaining Ceder Beach was great for quite family time. The beach was about 20 minutes away from the house, but the drive is so easy it seemed a lot closer. The owner called us once we got there to explain where to park and the beach was amazing. A perfect breeze to give you just enough wind to keep you from burning up. There are cows and wild horses that also roam the beach and my kids loved that. You could walk what seemed like forever in water only ankle or shin deep. No big waves there so perfect for lounging or if you have some beginner swimmers. We would get there at about 9 each morning and it was already 80+ degrees and we would have the beach to ourselves for hours before one or two other people showed up. There is a pizza place about 15 minutes from the house called Crossroads Pizza and we really enjoyed it. There was also a Food Lion about 25 minutes away where we shopped, they had great prices and employees were very polite. Between the house being awesome and the perfect beach this vacation was a dream. We've suggested this house to everyone we've spoke to. If you're on the fence to get this house do yourself a favor and do it, you won't regret it.

Wonderful!

Everything about this place was wonderful! The view of Jarrett Bay was beautiful. All of the "things to do" in the area, are all within a half hour drive or less. Definitely would stay again. The host was amazing. Always available to answer any and all questions that I had.
