Välkommen till The Governor's Collection - Anchor Point Apartments; en prisvärd lägenhetstil som ligger i det livliga hjärtat av Governor's Harbor, Eleuthera. Komplexet består av två byggnader: Den ena innehåller 2 lägenheter med ett sovrum och två vanliga lägenheter med två sovrum, medan den andra innehåller två större lägenheter med två sovrum. Alla enheter är byggda med täckta balkonger utanför som erbjuder fantastisk utsikt över Anchor Bay.

Denna speciella lägenhet på övervåningen har ett litet galleri på taket - perfekt för att ta in vackra ösolnedgångar, stirra på kvällarna eller för att beundra vyn vid vattnet vid vattnet!

Vi ligger i ett utmärkt läge för att utforska Central Eleuthera. Vi är ett kvarter från det historiska Haynes-biblioteket, och mindre än en mil från Cupid's Cay, Eleutheran-äventyrarnas hem och platsen för det första Bahamiska parlamentet 1746.

Anchor Point ligger på gångavstånd till lokala stormarknader, banker (2 med bankomater), kaféer, presentbutiker och mer - Men om du verkligen vill utforska ön är det bäst att hyra en bil. Det finns oändliga avskilda stränder som reser längs ön, bara väntar på att utforskas!

För en rolig dag ute på havsfisket skulle vi gärna hjälpa dig att ordna att hyra en båt för dagen eller organisera en charter, med din egen kapten. Paddelbrädor, kajaker och vattenskidor finns också att hyra, samt snorkling och dykutrustning. Du kan också ta en dagsutflykt för att besöka The Swimming Pigs of Spanish Wells - en relativt ny, men mycket populär dagstur!

På fredagskvällar finns det fantastiska Bahamiska nattliv vid Anchor Bay fiskyngel, som ligger en kort promenad från lägenheterna. Här kan du prova lokalt förberedda, hemma-mat från hemmet - inklusive conchsallad, friterad fisk, grillad kyckling, makaroner och ost och ärtoris. Blanda med vänliga lokalbefolkningen, vinterinvånare som besöker ön varje år i flera månader i taget eller turister som söker en rolig kväll ute - det finns en live-DJ, lokala öl och cocktails till försäljning, limbotävlingar och dans på gatan tills sent !

Great view, comfortable place

We had a great stay! The place is beautiful and has everything you could need, even a steamer pot so we could cook our stone crab claws. The beach chairs and umbrella were very handy. It is in town so at times can be loud with people and cars but is convenient to most things. Joy was helpful, giving us recommendations for shops. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Centrally Located

This apartment is centrally located a short distance from the Governor Harbor Airport. Easy to find and within walking distance to anything you need. Having said that you do need a vehicle to explore all the beauty Eleuthera has to offer. The apartment was very clean, modern decor and well supplied. Dom gave us a great welcome and he was easy to reach throughout our stay.

Amazing place and amazing island!

Not intending to review Eleuthera itself, but just to say that this place is in the heart of real Eleuthera, and the neighborhood friendliness and warmth held up it's end! This apartment is absolutely perfect. Fully appointed with everything you would need, from beach chairs to bakeware. The view of the bay never got old. The cemetery is beautiful and unique, and actually this apartment has a clear open view between the two sections of it. The building area is well lit and equipped with security cameras, but we always felt 100% safe walking around the neighborhood and patronizing the local eateries and stores, and the Friday Fish Fry that is just down the street. We loved our week here and would definitely stay again. Scott & Vanessa

Great place for a winter getaway

Cannot fault anything, however, the Roosters call at 4am takes a bit of getting used to. Great location to visit both ends of the island, 1 mile walk to the terrific French Leave beach. Facilities in the apartment are second to none. Superb.

Lovely home

My friend and I (both female) had a great time here! The home was very comfortable and bright. The kitchen also had everything you could possibly want to cook with (i.e. lemon press, rolling pin, cheese knives). We were able to buy some lobster from local fishermen and cook it on the grill one night. Very tasty! A very short drive to French Leave beach which was both beautiful and very empty! If you're worried about driving on the left side on the island, don't be. It was dead easy. There aren't any complicated traffic patterns on the island and only one main road. Also, the island is much safer than what we experienced in Nassau (both of us had issues with harassment there) and we had no problems with walking around at night. The nature is breathtaking on the whole island and we even saw some dolphins from the house. I'd definitely recommend!

SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

First trip to Eleuthera and it will for sure not be the last. Dom & Joy are fantastic hosts and Dom was there to greet us upon our arrival. He spent the time walking us through their area guide book that they’ve thoughtfully put together and answered any questions that we threw at him. Power on the island is quite unstable at times and the times we did lose power during our 7 night stay, the backup genny kicked on in under 30 seconds! As for the space, not only was it clean and comfortable, but also VERY well appointed with everything you could possibly need in a home away from home. My wife and I have traveled the globe and I cannot recall a better outfitted space. We are beach creatures and having chairs, umbrella and a cooler provided for us was an added bonus for sure! We spent most of our time on Receivers Beach (Alabaster bay) and French Leave. Just an overall wonderful experience that we look forward to again!!

Well equipped

I would rent this property again in a heartbeat. It's centrally located on the island and well maintained with ample parking. The house is really well stocked, including beach gear. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. The one surprise was the street music still blasting at 2 a.m. after the Friday fish fry. Dom & Joy are extremely responsive and helpful and every islander we met was so friendly.

Great Location

The apartment was centrally located to explore the island. You can walk to shops, restaurants and the grocery store. Beautiful views from the 2nd floor apartment. Joy and Dom were great to work. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. It is located in a real Bahamian neighborhood and the locals were all very nice and we felt safe even walking after dark.

Governor's Harbor gem!

This is our second year in a row to stay at this property (different apartments) and we love everything about it. We always rent a car, but the apartment is walking distance to everything Governor's Harbor has to offer, which is a huge plus. Joy and Dom are great hosts and property managers and always make us feel welcome! The apartment was spotless when we arrived and it is equipped with everything you could want. Be advised that there are free-roaming chickens and roosters near the property and they do make noise. It did not bother us, but I can imagine it might be a concern for really light sleepers. We acrually found them entertaining to watch and part of the charm of the area. Can't wait to return!

Outstanding design in a wonderful location!

First, Joy & Dominic were incredible to work with as we planned our Eleuthera getaway and extremely helpful at all times during our stay. We enjoyed meeting them immensely and cannot say enough great things about them! The apartments themselves are beautifully decorated and maintained. Everything we needed to enjoy the island in a comfortable manner was on site and in terrific condition. From their design to the wonderful kitchen and down to the provided beach chairs it was perfect for us! Their central location in Governor's Harbor proved ideal as my wife and I enjoyed exploring the island each day. We always loved coming home to relax before heading out to dinner - the balconies and the widow's watch above the apartment are a terrific place to enjoy the beauty that surrounds the area. Don't miss the Fish Fry on Friday night - just a short walk from the apartment and a wonderful opportunity to experience a local tradition. We attended church service at St Patrick's just down the street as well and the welcome we received was one that will not be soon forgotten. Eleuthera is a magical place, its people are beyond kind and the apartments are a wonderful place to begin your experience!

Brand new building. First class interior design. Perfectly equipped. Sea view from both front balconies and very nice landlords taking care of everything! We were even welcomed with ice cold beers in the fridge!
