We wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday and asked therefore specifically for a quiet room away from the street, far from the elevator and stairs and on a high floor. We received the opposite and which must be the noisiest room in the hotel just above the entrance. And as the entrance is one floor down from the street the room is actually on street level, with full view into room from the street so we had to leave the curtains down all the time and we the balcony was not inviting, but as the sun never reaches it, it did not really matter. The room is just by the elevator and stairs and the street is busy with traffic more or less 24/7 and as the room is just above the entrance and stairs, we heard all drunk and loud people returning to the hotel during all the nights. When we complained about getting a room that was so very different from our request, they just said we are sorry and could not do anything about it.
In addition, we had to pay the room twice at the check-in even if it was prepaid and after double-checking our booking, we complained about this, we were first told that the hotel did not have any money, but after some arguing and calls, we finally got the second payment credited.
