Ingen stolthet,ingen verkstad
Smutsigt rum med ingrodd smuts i golvmatta. Mögel i duschen, smutsigt handfat. Osäker och okunnig personal som ej åtgärdar påtalade brister. Frukosten var ok, men tog mycket lång tid.

Bedagat hotell
Hotellet har sett sina bästa dagar, liksom den sömniga byn Grantown. Ganska bra läge i förhållande till whiskydestillerierna runt Spey, Inverness, Loch Ness och Cairgorms - nära till allt. Ett klart minus att det inte fanns frukost på hotellet. Även om vi visste om det innan så var det en nackdel att behöva gå ut och äta frukost. Små rum men ganska bekväm säng.

on Arrival there was no one at reception and after waiting 5 mins I had to call the hotel for some one to assist with check in, when staff did arrive they didn’t have our reservation and only when I showed them my email from hotels.com did they accept we had reserved a room, given room on top floor, 3 floors with no lift in the hotel, the room was described as deluxe but was very small and there was no heating on either that night or in the morning, they did leave a small plug in heater which kept cutting out and the shower took 5 mins to heat up.

Friendly budget stay
Undergoing redecoration can't complain about a budget overnight stay in a clean comfortable room with a great shower.

The young man Ryan behind the desk was lovely and helpful. The older gentlemen made us feel like we were a burden and he didn’t want us there. Very unfriendly unlike anywhere else we have stayed. To be fair to him he was also rude to people at the bar so at least he was consistent. The property is under a slow renovation which itself is fine, however if you have vacant rooms (they did) why put us in a 1970 room at the back of the hotel. Did not walk barefoot on the carpet and used soap in the bathroom. We were only here for 1 night so it was ok. Friends were in a refurbished room and said it wasn’t great.

The hotel is still in a construction phase. Some rooms are good and some are in need of upgrading. Restaurant and food are good. But a lack of staffing does not help they tried their best.

Poor service levels.
Hotel is not what we expected of a hotel that has just been recently refurbished. Rooms ok but housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Towels not changed in 4 days and no refills of tea and milk, had to ask for milk still waiting for towels to be changed! Breakfast ok but had to ask for orange juice and hot water refills daily as no one is taking responsibility of the breakfast service. Seems to be a lack of staff as owner seems to be jack of all trades and master of none 😟. Unfortunately will not be returning.

Mixed bag
Great location, slightly tired and the descriptions are a bit misleading - it’s an old fashioned hotel and you shouldn’t expect a Premier Inn. But the bathroom and bed were clean and it was well worth the £58 we paid. The bar was in need of some serious cheering up but the food was good value. So bit of a mixed review but would certainly use again if stopping over for a night in that part of the world.

The property was very old and not cleaned well. Things didn't work.. Had to keep going into the pub to find the receptionist!! Not great, wouldn't recommend.

Un hôtel encore dans son jus, une chambre spacieuse et un lit confortable pour une nuit d'étape mais la salle de bain serait à rénover. Bon diner servi au bar dans une ambiance sympathique. Un bémol pour le petit déjeuner servi lentement et trop tardivement.

Avoid to save disappointment.
Hotel is run down was not impressed with lad at reception then meet with the cleaners room door open on way to room it was disgusting, every thing dumped on the floor.Then on to room was not Hovered and bits from last guest's and was just a mess decorating and cupboards from the 70s and bathroom with bits not painted. Bed collapsed half way through the night when my husband got up for toilet. Over all not a pleasant place to stay and would recommend you give it a miss and avoid disappointment.

Didn't stay, first room carpet was absolutely filthy, hadn't been hoovered. Got an upgrade after complaining and that room was the same so we left and booked in to another hotel.

Wir hatten ein "frisch renoviertes" Zimmer mit Dusche in dem man sich fühlte ein Hering in der Dose. Das Fenster ließ sich nicht öffnen und die Heizung funktionierte nicht. Man hört von nebenan die Musik und die Gespräche der Handwerker. Bei Buchungs des Hotels gab es hierzu keinerlei Information. Das zweite Zimmer war ähnlich, im Badzimmer stank es aus den Abflüssen und sah nicht wirklich einladend aus. Nach Toilettenpapier musste man fragen. Das Frühstück war nicht überzeugend, die Auswahl nicht groß. Am zweiten Morgen mussten wir sehr lange warten bis wir das Frühstück bekamen, da uns niemand gesagt hatte, dass wir es hätten am Abend vorher auswählen müssen. Einige Bestandteile des Frühstück waren so fettig, dass man es nicht essen konnte. Für jemanden der keine Ansprüche hat, war der Preis von 50,00 Pfund pro Nacht wahrscheinlich ok. Fazit - Nie mehr wieder.

Great location and friendly staff
We had no heat in the first room and they were kind enough to move us to another room. A little better but alas still a bit cold and only a thin converter to keep us warm.

I liked that it was an older building being used as an hotel. The breakfasts were excellent. Rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very nice.
