Pet paradise
The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience.

Enchanting dome house
This dome house is enchanting! And it's in a serene natural location perfect for relaxing and nature-bathing. The hosts provided everything we needed including little touches like walking sticks and a makeup mirror. The beds and linens are very comfy and the home is beautifully decorated. I highly recommend this unique home for those who love outdoor adventures and indoor coziness.

Amazing
This place is amazing!!! It is so unique and cool! The trails on the property are also very nice. All the seating outside was also very handy, we ate dinner and lunch outside everyday we stayed. The drive is a little steep, but totally doable. If you are on the fence about booking this place this is a little nudge to do it!!! You won’t regret it!

This is a perfect place for an awesome getaway! Nestled in the country, private in everyway. A super plus if you have a pet, lots of areas to exercise and let your muppy's run free! The home is equipped everything you need. The observatory is a extra added bonus. Beds were clean and we loved the music that was playing when we arrived. There were some cobwebs and also the dishes in the cabinets could use a good washing. There is a great place 1.9 miles down the road for food, veteran owned:) Bonus Hot tub makes the stay all the more relaxing! We will be back! thank you :)

Anniversary Getaway
Property was a bit dated for price. Bathrooms could use some TLC. Also found many spiderwebs in windows. Warning, EXTREMELY steep driveway that was a surprise to us. Other than that, exactly as pictured. Assistance was just a phone call away 24hrs a day. Property was breathtaking. Just us and nature. Exactly what we were looking for ❤️

As for the driveway, you are in the mountains but this one is mild compared to some others. We are glad you found the property "breathtaking" and do hope you will stay with us again.

Just what we needed
This was a great get away. Great secluded property with really nice hiking trails. Nice pond overlooked by a relaxing deck. The hot tub with a clear night doesn’t get any more relaxing.

Unique property immersed in nature, we loved it
The property was secluded and beautiful, and the dome was so much fun. The family and dog had a wonderful time relaxing and exploring the grounds. Had a fire in the fire pit, soaked in the hot tub, watched some hoops, and hiked the nature trails. Ventured out to Grayson Highlands. The kids went up into the observatory on top of the dome. We didn't fish but saw a few fish jumping in the pond. Property was very clean and kitchen had the cooking necessities. Awesome getaway!

Secluded and unforgettable
The dome has everything you need for a wonderful trip except food and your friends. Beds are comfortable with nice linens, plenty of towels for the hot tub. A well stocked kitchen with the basics. The moon was shining right through the window over the bed each night and zero noise can be heard from the road. Best sleep I've had in ages! The top of the driveway is a little steep, so go at an angle if you have a low ground clearance car so you don't bottom out as you pull in the parking area. We will absolutely be back

Unique get away in the woods
Loved our short stay in this unique get away in the woods. Very private and cozy, but with plenty of space to spread out. Witnessed a few flying squirrels at dusk - what a treat. Loved the hot tub and full kitchen. Would recommend staying here!

Perfect Unique Getaway
My partner and I wanted an isolated three days away from it all somewhere unique, in the mountains, and with a hot tub. Unforgettable delivered. This fascinating geodesic dome property is beautiful inside and out, and the property owners went to great lengths to attend to the small details that make a trip perfect. There was even music on to greet us when we got inside! You’ll love the beautiful woods, view from the fire pit, clean hot tub and rustic atmosphere. And best of all…we were 100% alone on this large property. We’ll be back!

Secluded, Amazing Getaway
Our stay was fantastic! While being near the blue ridge parkway and numerous other hiking venues, the property had some trails of it's own. It felt as if you were in the foothills with no one for miles around. There were several locations for scenic views without even leaving the acreage the lot is on. All appliances were up to date, the hot tub was well maintained, the beds were comfortable. All the perks of being at home, while being out in nature. We did not want to leave and could have easily enjoyed a week or more without becoming bored.

Truly a gem.
The entire experience was great. 4 1/2 stars the only half stars it’s missing is the fact that the observatory had not been cleaned for some Thai and therefore could not be thoroughly enjoyed like it should be. Everything was amazing and very well thought out. Thank you for allowing my family the opportunity to stay decompress and reconnect all at once for the short amount of time that we were there. I would definitely stay here again!

Unique and Secluded
The cabin was cozy, clean, perfectly decorated and contained everything we needed. The hot tub was private and relaxing. The pond contained some nice catch and release bass and the hiking trails were actually manicured. Our dogs enjoyed being off leash to explore. We have stayed in a number of rentals in different locations but this geodesic dome is truly "unforgettable".

We got exactly what we wanted from this listing. The home was comfortable and the land was amazing. So nice to relax by the fire and watch the sun go down and to awake to the quiet of the mountains. Beds were pretty uncomfortable but furniture was great. We spent our time on the first floor. If you’re looking for a get away to actually get away; this is the place.

It was Unforgettable
The name of the cabin fits the experience. There was something to do for everyone: chill local on the trails and fish on the pond, be adventurous on the New River or heading into nearby Jefferson. We had so much fun and will definitely visit again.

Staying at a geodesic dome is a cool experience to have (the structure is fascinating) & the proximity to Grayson Highlands Park is a plus. The bedding smelled heavily of perfume and there was a dead bug in one of the beds, so I’m not sure how frequently the blankets are washed. Also, the check out time of 11am is FIRM; the owner drove up at 11:05 to make sure we were out. Worth a short stay, but it was less than what we expected for the price.

Holiday getaway
This home was amazing. Clean, comfy, dream location and accommodating. The application/reservation process was seamless and great customer service. The check in process was challenging w signal but we worked it out and got all settled in. One of my complaints was the hot tube wasn’t clean. The water was very hazy and the bubbles had this dirt film. At the end of the day, I would come here again and again. As advertised this place is unforgettable. Nice and cozy for a couple or some friends (no privacy for hanky panky). Thank you so much for allowing us to share our Christmas holiday at your home.

Beautiful place all to yourself
The name says it all. It is unforgettable beautiful and peaceful and the flying squirrels aren’t that bad after a few beers I was able to communicate with them by gently knocking on the plywood and letting them know we were going to sleep and need them to go to the other side of the house. This place was beautiful off the road and all to itself you can just hear the cars going down the road from the beautiful overlook where the fire pit is. We will be look to stay here again on the future

Lovely stay!
We had a wonderful time at “Unforgettable.” The location is very private but convenient to state parks and hiking trails. The house is so interesting in its design….a little worn… but very charming. Light and bright. Enjoyed the loft area with three comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Plenty of functional furniture and space for our things. Loved the hot tub and the privacy. Our dogs were welcome and the acreage was great for exercising them. We can also highly recommend The River House Restuarant. Very close with gourmet level food and service in a lovely causal atmosphere.

Peaceful and pet friendly
I have scanned vrbo listings in several states, and this is one of the few that actually means PET friendly, and not just dog friendly. We have a special needs house chicken that requires hand feeding and wears diapers. I realize this is a unique pet, so I'm always transparent about her and how we care for her before booking. The property owners were one of the few to actually respond to my inquiries, and the only ones to accept our pet. So if you're a pet owner with a not-so-common pet, this is the retreat for you! The dome house was absolutely adorable and exceeded all of our expectations. It absolutely lived up to its "Unforgettable" name. We loved staying there and exploring the hiking trails. The quaint town of West Jefferson is only 20 minutes away and we had a blast walking around and checking out all the local shops. So if you're looking for a low-key getaway for you and you furry or feathered friend, this is absolutely the place for you. Our favorite Vrbo experience, by far!

It was a truly unique experience to stay in a geodesic dome house that the kids lovingly named the Acorn house. The house was nicely decorated, always giving your eye something new to enjoy. The outside was well manicured and maintained. The front deck was a great place to enjoy and and back deck with picnic table and hot tub was a nice place to unwind after a hike. The kids adventures around the house and down to the pond. We will definitely be back!

Everything about this place was perfect. You have complete privacy and all the comforts you could need. This home is absolutely beautiful and incredibly unique. We really enjoyed the many areas to relax outside and we explored the trails frequently. Our dogs really loved the freedom of being off leash to explore the area. The beds are really comfortable and we slept like babies. The home was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need. We enjoyed grilling out each evening and sitting around the fire. When we arrived, the TV volume was not working. We were unable to fix the issue ourselves and the management company sent someone out right away to take care of it. I can't wait to stay here again.

Fun little little getaway
I stayed here about 12 years ago, and it's only gotten better! The house itself is bright and fun and unique, and the outdoor space is absolutely perfect. The hot tub tub is private and nicely maintained, and the seating around the house is comfortable and well lit. The little well-kept nature trails and the seating nooks and fire pits all around the property are incredibly scenic. Check-in was easy, and we felt we had everything that was offered and everything we needed.

This was a really nice stay. The house is obviously unique, and they've done a great job of utilizing the space to make it really cute, comfortable and surprisingly roomy. It was also super duper clean. The hot tub was just right after some long days hiking. There's no privacy at all since there aren't really interior walls (except for the bathrooms), so it's not the right place if you want to put the kids to bed and then...... watch tv. But as long as you know that going in, you will not be disappointed. If we return to the area, I will definitely try to book this place again.
