“Om man är ute efter ett lyxhotell så ska man inte välja Campanile men om man är ute efter ett bra budgethotell med trevlig personal så kan du boka detta. Busshållplatsen ligger bara en liten bit ifrån Hotellet och det tar bara några minuter till centrala Basildon. Det är lite slitet här och där men det var rent på rummet och restaurangdelen var fräsch och fin och det var trevlig personal. Åker jag tillbaka till Basildon kommer jag absolut att boka samma hotell.”
“OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. Hope these...
“Arrived at the property and called to check in. Was told that property was closed for refurbishment and I had to go to a different property managed by them 15 minutes away.
Got there and room was minimal and bare. Host was nice but it wasn’t an aparthotel as the original one was advertised as.
I left and booked a night at a local Travelodge instead. ”

"We were mostly happy with our stay, the room was clean and the majority of staff were pleasant and helpful. There were two days where the room was not cleaned but I expect this was due to staff taking time off over Christmas, it did not really inconvenience us. The biggest issue we had was on two occasions despite the premises being listed as non smoking, there was a smell of cigarette smoke drifting into our room from the corridor. The person on duty did not seem too interested and all they could do was offer to provide us with an air freshener. I also emailed Marston's regarding this issue but as I have not heard back from them, I presume they are somewhat disinterested in the issue also."
