Great hotel and amazing staff
We spent one week at the Minos Beach Art Hotel and the four of us (two adults and two children) agreed that we will come back. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and the staff is just amazing: helpful, friendly, service minded and pleasant. We felt so well taken care of, it was hard to leave! It is a relaxing and beautiful place with pieces of art to discover in the garden and the sea. There is a good selection of food and activities and it is close to town. It never feels crowded or loud. The swimming pool was great and you have great access to the sea, either through one of the two sand beaches or rocks, your choice! We just loved it and will definitely come back!

Parfait.
Hôtel magnifiquement situé, la plage est tout le long de l’hôtel. Les jardins embaument. Les chambres sont grandes. Le petit déjeuner est un pur délice. Le personnel fait au mieux pour satisfaire.

The Minos Beach hotel was excellent from check in to departure we were looked after at every step of the way, the villas are top class with everything you need. The location is within easy walking distance of the town centre, the views are amazing. We chose to eat at the hotels restaurant a few nights and the buffet was great quality food and varied. Breakfast was included and was also buffet style, again great quality.

Situation exceptionnelle mais confort décevant
L’hôtel bénéficie d’une situation exceptionnelle avec 1km de rivage au bord de la mer à laquelle on accède directement de son bungalow. Le service est de haut niveau mais les chambres sont d’un confort insuffisant à ce niveau de prix: aucune décoration, penderie et rangements ouverts et insuffisants…Peu d’activités proposées et information insuffisante sur celles-ci et sur les prestations proposées. On voit que le management est relâché. Dommage!

The service is exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble, they go above & beyond & everyone is always friendly. The grounds & lobby are fabulous with lots of interesting discoveries & surprises through the art pieces. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The classic rooms are disappointing. Do not stay in one of these - they need renovating & are gradually being phased out. We had an amazing view but the room is not luxury - it is a very basic, worn room. They did move us for the last few nights & the new room was wonderful, but it was extremely expensive for a 'motel' type accommodation which was what we were in for the majority of our stay. There was a cleaner's closet immediately opposite the room and the banging and shouting woke us every day. There are 2 small beaches, & a variety of rocky outcrops with a variety of beach beds on site. All very comfortable and it never felt crowded. We could always find a bed and the swimming spots are lovely. The pool is large. There are two choices for lunch on site. The immediate surrounding area is a little disappointing - there are 4/5 tavernas restaurants within a few minutes walk, but there is a main road with coaches passing by every few minutes & most of the restaurants are on the road. It's just not particularly pretty. They are significantly cheaper than eating in the hotel and the variety was nice. The food was excellent in all of them. It is a 20 minute walk into town and you can walk there along the water.

This is paradise on earth! We were lucky enough to stay in a superior water front room and it was just amazing. We have traveled a lot but often find it hard to find a hotel that delivers on all aspects, this is one of those rare gems. The hotel is beautifully designed so there is plenty of space, the rooms and garden layout are very cleverly thought through so it feels very private and exclusive. The rooms are modern with a rustic chic twist and the cleaning team do a wonderful job at keeping everything immaculate without really being noticed. We are not art enthusiasts but enjoyed finding the quirky art pieces in unexpected places. The food was consistently excellent, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and personable. The local town is a 10 minute walk offering great shopping and restaurants (though we didn’t need to eat there as we were so well catered for in the hotel). The Pelagos water sports centre (associated with but not owned by the hotel) is hugely impressive and we used their boats twice in the short time we were there, they were so professional with immaculate equipment and very knowledge and safety conscious staff. We will definitely come back!!!!

Oktober Ferien im spätsommerlichen Kreta
Sehr grosszügige Anlage, kein Hotel-Bunker, sonderm mit relativ kleinem Haupthaus und vielen kleinen Gebäuden; verleiht viel Privatsphäre, z.T. mit eigenen Liegestühlen am Meer. Sehr abwechslungsreiches Frühstücks- und HP- Buffet, jedoch auch die Möglichkeit in sehr guten a la carte Restaurants zu essen. Service ist/war auch kurz vor Saison-Abschluss noch immer hervorragend. Die Lage des Hotels (nahe zur Stadt Agios Nikolaos (zu Fuss 15 Min) in einer ruhigen und windgeschützten Bucht mit sehr sauberem Meer ist optimal um abzuschalten und dennoch das Angebot eines grösseren Orts (Ausflüge, Shopping) zu haben. Die Hotel-Anlage verfügt über sehr unterschiedliche Zimmer-Kategorien mit grosser Preisspanne, deshalb ist vorgängige Abklärung der Kategorie unbedingt zu empfehlen. Sportangebot in der Anlage (sehr kleiner Gym-Bereich, 1 Tennis-Platz) ist eher bescheiden, jedoch gibt es in 5 Min Gehdistanz (zu beiden Seiten) lokale Anbieter für diverse Wassersport-Möglichkeiten. Es gibt keine (nervigen) Animationen und grossangelegten Abend-Unterhaltungen - dafür gut ausgewählte Musik (von DJs) welche den Abend "chillend" ausklingen lassen und wo man sich auch noch unterhalten kann. Rundum eine gute Anlage um sich mit einem gewissen Luxus vom Alltag erholen zu können.

Fantastic property, very clean and excellent staff. Location is very close to a little strip of good restaurants which are nice to visit if you would like some variation from the hotel restaurant (which are both lovely), and a relatively short walk into Agios Nikolaos itself which has a wider even more bars and restaurants. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained, the setting on the coast is beautiful, and even though the property is close to the local town manages to feel very seculded. The hotel bar serves wonderful cocktails, which the staff put a lot of effort into ensuring are beautifully presented and on most nights there was a great DJ that played very melow music which added to the hotels ambience without being distruptive. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be visiting again.

Fantastic hotel, highly recommended
We had the most wonderful stay for our Honeymoon at the Minos Beach Art Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were incredibly friendly. We had a slight issue in that the original bungalow allocated to us had only a partial sea view when we had booked a sea view and it was sorted straight away, moving us to a different room and offering us a free meal in the fabulous Bacchus restaurant. The rooms are minimalist and cool, our balcony with the sea view was gorgeous. Beach and pool area are great with plenty of space for lounging. We did one of the free yoga classes with Maria which was excellent. We also had a massage in the spa-highly recommended and very relaxing. Great breakfast selection and amazing meal for my birthday in the Bouillabaisse restaurant. A cake was even sent to our room which was such a lovely touch. Special mention to Alexandra and Katerina at the front desk who couldn’t have done enough for us. We will definitely be back

Mal débute pour super bien finir. La chambre réservée n’était pas comme indiquée par votre site, la salle de bain ressemblait à une vieillerie. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre ce qui a été fait le lendemain. Puis nous avons prolongé de quelques nuits ensuite. L’hôtel est divisé en 2 styles, un rénové et un très basique.

Minos is the first hotel we've ever gone back to for a second trip, and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful location, superb staff and delightful gardens to unwind in. Special mention to Caterina on reception, who surprised us with the same room we stayed in (and loved) last time; thanks to Roula who kept our room spotlessly clean; and to Yiannis and Stavros behind the bar. Can't recommend the hotel enough – a glorious spot to watch the sun rise each morning, and then relax for the rest of the day – with a host of restaurants within easy walking distance. Thank you – I'm sure we'll be back (again).

C’est un très bel hôtel, belle plages, criques nombreuses, piscine grande et agréable. Petit déjeuner somptueux. 2 critiques: pour un 5 étoiles, les matelas sont épouvantables. J’avais demandé non pas 1 grand lit mais 2, on me dit que la catégorie bungalow supérieur sur mer on ne peut séparer les lits. A ce prix???

Rappelons que nous sommes dans l’un des plus chers hôtel de Crête, 600€ la nuit. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits. Arrivée à 14h30 où nous dis que la chambre sera prête d’ici 30 min. Thé froid en guise de verre d’arrivée. On nous demande de télécharger immédiatement une application pour faire notre propre Check-In… Le complexe est immense. La chambre n’est pas prête, elle le sera que dans 30 min (normal). On en profite pour déjeuner au restaurant situé en bord de mer, après avoir découvert le complexe qui manque un peu d’entretien selon nous (pelouse pas tondu, ouvre d’art du jardin en deserrance) 16h, la chambre n’est toujours pas prête. 16h20 on récupère la chambre, mais pas nos valises. Il faudra appeler pour relancer. Nous avions réservé une chambre front de mer avec transat privatif devant la mer. Nous étions en chambre 95, tout au bout de l’hôtel (25 min de marche pour accéder à la réception). Les transats sont situés avec ceux de la 96 et 94, entre le bâtiment et un mur à l’étroit, loin des images carte postale du site. Ce n’est pas le cas des autres chambre en front de mer. Nous arrivons dans la chambre, la climatisation n’est pas en fonctionnement la chambre est à 29 degré. La chambre est petite mais jolie, toutefois, vous ne verrez pas de vu depuis la chambre : excepté une petite fenêtre dans la douche, aucune autre ouverture que la porte. Nous avons dîner au restaurant de l’hôtel : c’est bon mais bien trop long. Petit dej le moins bon sur nos 15j ici.

Très belle structure. A notre arrivée nous avons demandé à changer notre chambre contre un bungalow’ cela n’a posé aucun problème. Dans l’heure qui a suivi nous avons été transféré d’un bungalow très bien aménagé et très bien placé Sans supplément de tarif. Il nous a été offert une bouteille de Proseco en supplément des cadeaux de bienvenue. La table excellente. Le positionnement de l’hôtel exceptionnel dans la baie de Agios Nikolaos. Personnel très agréable .

we had a few minutes of disappointment when we realized that the room we booked was not the one on the picture but we upgraded it and got what we wanted... all was great except for the water sport / boat rental at the end of the resort. Not so friendly lady there (lacking patience) and charged us every penny she could! not recommended). but the resort was great ;)

Perfect from start to finish
Loved my stay at Minos Beach Art Hotel. Check in was slightly overly complicated as it’s contact free via an app due to Covid but once we were set up this app would enable us to order drinks anywhere in the hotel, from the beach to the beds by the pool. All the staff were super friendly and happy to assist. Our room was one of the newly renovated sea view rooms which are cool and stylish and include a super comfy bed. I definitely recommend contacting the hotel in advance to try and secure one of these rooms! Public areas are equally stunning, from the huge art in reception to the main bar and restaurants that have been put together with huge attention to detail. We also had fun walking round finding art in the hotel grounds. Some is better than others but it’s still a nice touch. Breakfast was served in the main restaurant and has a huge choice of both fresh prepared options and buffet (served by staff from behind glass screens). Finally the cocktails served in the evening from the main bar are epic! Lots of unusual flavour combos but all really delicious. I definitely hope to return to this hotel one day!

The best hotel resort we have ever experienced. The Hotel is perfectly located close to the city of Agios Nikolaos and has everything you need for a 5 star resort

Die allgemeinen Räumen, Lobby, Bar, Restaurant, Aufenthaltsräume, waren super stylish, modern und besonders, was man allerdings von unserem Zimmer 208 nicht sagen konnte! Man hatte das Gefühl, dass es überhaupt nicht zum restlichen Hotel dazu gehört...! Sehr in die Jahre gekommen, einfach ausgestattet, aber immerhin mit tollem Blick!
