âBaloo Hostel is great, fantastic hostel and lovely staff. The beds are fine and facilities good. The area is not nice, with alot of drug use all over, and on the doorstep.â

âDet hĂ€r Ă€r ett ganska enkelt hotell som ligger bra till, nĂ€ra Omoniaplatsen dĂ€r det finns gott om kommunikationer. Vi hade turen att bli uppgraderade till en tvĂ„rumssvit istĂ€llet för vĂ„rt trippelrum. I sviten finns jacuzzi och en helt fantastisk utsikt mot Akropolis frĂ„n en av de tvĂ„ balkongerna. Bra frukost ingĂ„r och sammantaget Ă€r det ett mycket prisvĂ€rt hotell. â

âThe front desk people, esp. Georgios, were great. G. was always so helpful in recommending things and making the stay enjoyable. The building and area look a little sketchy from the outside, but it's a wonderfully restored property. It's nice to see what they did with it. The other guests were great, mostly tourist couples, and I really enjoyed my stay there. The area is fine and is walkable to many tourist sites.â
âGreat size apartment style set up for a family to stay short or longer term. Pool had started to lose a few tiles and some general maintenance is soon due but it was still beautiful up there on the roof for a dip and cool down. Overall it was a very unique modern style apartment that we enjoyed greatly.
The surrounding streets arenât great but we wandered around during the day without any concern. Itâs close to a square with a few great restaurants and a stop for the hop on hop off bus tours.â

"The Stanley has one of the best locations in Athens. The neighbourhood is genuine and proximity to bars and restaurants. One of the highlights, for me, is the reception that is really amazing. The pool and bar on the roof are just one of the places in Athens, the views to the acropolis and the city are breathtaking. "
"The hotel itself is very nice but a bit far from the closest metro. However, they do have a shuttle to downtown on curtain times.
Check if the rooptop pool is open or closed. It is really beautiful but was closed on our vacation in March â dispite warm weather.
