Fint hotell med några brister
Detta är ett fint hotell med uppskattad restaurang och historia. Vi bokade en junior svit. När vi anlände visade det sig att restaurangen endast har öppet två dagar/veckan. Detta var en besvikelse då restaurang på plats var en av våra kriterier vid bokningen. När jag påtalade att det inte framkom på bokningstiden eller Google, meddelar personalen att det finns info på deras hemsida varpå jag sa att det hade varit uppskattat att de uppdaterade info. Kändes tyvärr inte som att den önskan togs på allvar.. de hade förberett rum i annexet som var en ny tillbyggnad som hade total avsaknad från det slottslika, men som tur var fick vi byta utan problem. Rummet var stort och fint inrett. AC:en lät som en traktor med en dåligt fungerande fjärrkontroll, så jag hade uppskattat uppgradering som gäst. Personalen talar god engelska. Parkeringen är väldigt avsides och lättillgänglig, tyvärr även för inbrottstjuvar, vilket kändes mindre tryggt. Frukosten lämnar en del att önska så som ägg, något varmt att äta och färsk frukt. Ett slott med fin pool och vackra vyer!

Mycket bra
Underbar utsikt över Chiantikullarna med det böljande landskapet. Lugnt och fridfullt och en underbar trädgård. Druvorna var mogna och skörden hade börjat. Byn Greve in Chianto var också mysigt att besöka liksom övriga små byar i området. Vi trivdes.

Good location to explore Chianti
A really good location to explore Chianti. Very friendly staff. Only little thing missing is a mini bar in the room, mostly because we couldn't cool our water.

Vinresa i Toscana
Vi stannade en natt på detta charmiga hotell & vingård. Bra service, trevlig pol. Tyvärr hade vi en mindre lyckad migddag på kvällen. Maten var mycket bra men servicen var undermålig. I övrigt var vi mycket nöjda med hotellet. Bra frukost.

O hotel parece que saiu de um conto de fadas. Tudo funcionou perfeitamente, e que, junto com o belíssimo local, fez nossa estadia ser a melhor possível. Se soubesse que a qualidade fosse tanta, me planejaria para ficar mais tempo.

Castello Vicchiomaggio is the place to stay for the ultimate Tuscany experience. The property is absolutely beautiful and the pool is a refreshing oasis. The restaurant was delicious as well - one of our best meals in Italy! We hope to return again someday.

Absolutely loved staying here! The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large and the staff is great. The food is ok and the beds aren't great, but overall highly recommend staying here. The pool is absolutely amazing as are the views. Can't beat em!

The property is amazingly beautiful. Everything was meticulous, including the castle and the grounds. The food was delicious. We had daily breakfast, one dinner in the dining room as well as a picnic that was perfectly prepared for us. What impressed me most,however, was the people. When I think back about the castle, that is what comes into my head first. They took SUCH good care of us in every way. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed so they prepared us sandwiches. They prepared a beautiful picnic for our dinner one evening and when we had transportation issues, they went above and beyond to help us. I would love to go back!

A truly special place!
My partner and I stayed at Castello Vicchiomaggio for a couple of nights during a 2-week trip through Italy. It was everything we dreamed of and more! The vibe and ambiance at the castello was great, and the views are simply incredible. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view across the vineyard. The food was amongst the very best we had across our whole time in Italy. The lunch menu was particularly excellent value for money and tasted amazing. We went on Castello Vicchiomaggio's wine tour, and this was a highly recommendable experience. The wine produced on this Chianti estate is amazing, and to learn about the wine and the estate was so interesting. My partner and I got engaged at this stunning place, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Delfina made this most magical moment possible, and I can't emphasise enough how helpful and hospitable she was both ahead of and during our stay. All of the staff were so friendly and profession, and this only added to our amazing stay. We will certainly be back in the future, and this place will forever hold a special place in our heart.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and were blown away with the views and grounds of this property. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was VERY spacious! We enjoyed time by the pool and lunch in the garden - the lunch was amazing! We HIGHLY recommend joining the Monday night vineyard tour, wine tasting and dinner in the ballroom. It was one of our favourite experiences from our trip, and it was very affordable! Our tour guide, Ines, was charismatic and engaging - we absolutely loved her. She even made recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip and we had one of our BEST meals at one of her recommendations. We will DEFINITELY be staying here on our next trip to Tuscany!

Memorable
This was a memorable stay at a castle! First, it was cool to stay at this castle. Next, the Family Apartment was tremendous (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, huge living area). Next, you have to eat dinner at their restaurant - it seems everyone who stayed there did so also - and it was the best night of our trip. The pool was great (quiet, not a party area, no bar, etc). The grounds are great to walk around, sit on a bench, enjoy the views, take pics, relax, have a drink, go wine tasting, etc.) The beds weren't too comfortable but it wasn't a big deal.
