We’ve got Eiger view room on the 5th floor, oh my goodness, it was so beautiful. Room was big and everything was perfect. Location is perfect too, it is Just a minute walk from the train station, bus station is just opposite the hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Location was excellent with respect to convenience to transportation. Staff were gracious and helpful. Our room was a bit small and it was consistently too warm at night. But we were happy with our hotel choice overall and can recommend it to others.

Service was great. The front desk people, including the hotel manager were great. They gave us great advice on places to go and see while we were there. They were very helpful. We went to the restaurant once but it was good. The hotel is located right by the bus stop and not far from the grocery store. The only issue for us was our room was right above the dining area so at night we would sometimes get cigarette smoke in our room and would have to close our windows. Everything else was great.

Das Hotel liegt in ÖV Nähe. Optimal für alle Ausflüge. Blick auf die Eiger-Nordwand. Das dazugehörende Restaurant verfügt über eine sehr gute Küche. Ich habe ein Veganes Menu gewählt - es war fantasievoll und hervorragend gekocht.

The property is right next to the train station. Just 30 sec walk ! Extremely convenient ! Room is clean, nice and comfortable. However, because of its convenient location, you might hear people chatting and smelt people smoking downstairs on the street.

Be advised if a non-smoker. We got an Eiger view room with balcony. But even though our room was a non-smoking room, we couldn't enjoy sitting on the balcony because either people on the balcony next to us or using the restaurant below us were smoking and it came up to our room. Couldn't even open the window at night for cool air.

We really enjoyed being there at the amazing hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. What’s more, the hotel is at a perfect spot right new to the train station, and yet having a nice view of Eiger from the balcony! We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel!

Nettes Hotel mit toller Aussicht in Grindelwald
Ein schönes und sauberes Hotel im Zentrum von Grindelwald. Das Personal beim Checkin/-out war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer gepflegt (wenn auch schon bisschen älter). Wir waren im 5.Stock und hatten eine super-Sicht nach Süden! wow! Schade, dass an diesem Abend auf dem gegenüberliegenden Dorfplatz bis morgens um 1 Uhr Live-Music gespielt wurde, in einer Lautstärke, die das Schlafen verunmöglichte. Naja, das Hotel kann ja nichts dafür, aber ein Hinweis wäre ganz nett gewesen. Das Frühstück bis 10 Uhr war sehr gut. Was gestört hat: es waren 7 Service-Personal im Frühstücks-Raum, und keine dieser Personen konnte eine der vier Landessprachen der Schweiz. Sehr schade, wenn man als Schweizer in der Schweiz Englisch reden muss, und das Personal nur gebrochen Englisch kann... sehr schade... Dies ist wahrscheinlich dem Umstand zu schulden, dass im Hotel fast ausschliesslich asiatische Gäste waren. Dennoch wäre ein "Guetä Morgä" schöner als ein gebrochenes "good morning". Es sind die Details, auf die es ankommt. Preis-Leistung war ok, angesichts der Saison. Der Parkplatz ist ein paar Gehminuten hinter und oberhalb des Hotels, via einer engen Zufahrtsstrasse. Alles in allem jedoch eher ein 3-Sterne-Hotel (nicht 4).

Wir würden sehr gerne Mitarbeiter im Service einstellen, die unsere Landessprache fliessend beherrschen, leider haben wir für diese Sommer Saison keine solchen Bewerbungen erhalten. Unsere zentrale Lage ist in vieler Hinsicht ein Vorteil. Jedoch kann es ein wenig lärmig werden. Ok hotel but please read in
My stay was marred by a cleaning lady who took short cuts. She did not: 1) give me fresh towels 2) clean my cups (with a used tea bag) 3) provide me with fresh toiletries 4) clear my champagne bucket which had become a bucket of water. When I arrived at the hotel, it must be the same cleaning lady who overlooked the fact that the toiletries given to me were half used. It is a shame that the property has sloppy staff like this. To be fair, when I complained, the other staff immediately addressed the issues. I also especially liked the staff on night duty at the reception, a gentleman from Portugal. He was really helpful and friendly. The hotel is one of the closest hotel to the train station, so that was great. However, there is not much to eat around the hotel. When we wanted to dine at the hotel one night when it was raining very heavily, we were told that the restaurant was only opened to “half boarders” and not casual diners like me even though I was a hotel guest! Luckily there are some restaurants up the road. I guess if the hotel had been hospitable enough, they should have made an exception in view of the heavy rain!

In die Tage gekommenes, renovierungsbedürtiges Hotel (öffentliche Räume), viel zu teuer. Allerdings top Lage und sehr freundliches Personal. Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht. Sehr nervig: man hört die Nachbarn im Zimmer obendrüber bei jedem Schritt wegen den Holzböden. Null Isolation. Ich war nicht der einzige Gast, den das genervt hat.
