Huge resort with spacious areas
This is not a small family run boutique hotel where you quickly get to know staff and other guests. On the contrary this is a huge hotel with more facilities than you need. We appreciated the spacious rooms and the terrace overlooking the majestic Eiger, the big lounge by the fire place, the sunterrace and of course the pool. The hotel is at the upper end of the main village road just opposite the First cable car station and a few minutes walk downhill to most other hotels and restaurants. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel (free rides with hotel card) and the Intersport shop in the hotel offers discounts on bike (and ski in the winter) rentals. But as always shopping around is advisable as you may find better deals elsewhere. In the summer many opt to summit (by train) Mt Jungfrau and it may very well prove beneficial to purchase the 1 month Swiss Half Rate card from SBB which gives 50% discount on all trains and most cable cars in the country. Even if you are just staying a few days it can be worth the 120 CHF, especially if you have to travel to/from Grindelwald on public transport as well.

Riktigt bra hotell med bästa läge
Ett riktigt bra hotell med riktigt bra läge. Mittemot gondolen till First skidområde och skidbussen precis utanför hotellet. Ligger på huvudgatan med bara några minuters promenad ner till tågstationen dit även bussen går på 2 minuter. Fina rum med riktigt sköna sängar och kuddar. Vi valde ett Room Eiger med balkong och utsikt mot Eiger vilket är mäktigt. Fantastisk frukostbuffé och härligt spa, även med pool. Bor gärna här igen.

Pärla i alperna
Fantastiskt hotell i mysiga Grindelwald - perfekt för vandring i alperna. Bemötandet har alltid varit vänligt och servicen på topp. Detta var sjätte gången - vi har varit här både sommar och vinter och alltid blivit lika nöjda med hotellet.

Location is good but it is up the hill so make sure to take their shuttle bus instead of walking. The facilities and staff are mostly great! Kim, the lady at the reception was particularly helpful, she helped me a lot on my trip planning and she is always smiling and polite!! For the sauna and gym, I would suggest it opens longer, 8pm is a bit early to close as ppl may want to use them after dinner, esp gym, would suggest it opens 24/7.

The view was nice from the room! Very clean and spacious. Amenities eg.toothbrush/kettle not provided but upon request they will provide. Definitely recommend! Very near to grindelwald station too.

Great access to the slopes. Across the road from one set of lifts and a short bus ride to another. Bus stops outside hotel and drops you at the ski lift terminal. It’s easy. Gorgeous town and very friendly people. Service at Sun Star was very friendly and helpful.

가장 먼저 떠오르는 것은 환상적인 뷰에요. 이 호텔에 묵을 계획이라면 비용을 조금 더 지출해서 아이거 뷰를 선택해야 합니다. 반드시!! 침대에 누워서 창문을 통해 바라보고 있으면 어찌나 기분이 좋던지.. 아울러 직원분들의 친절함, 숙소 컨디션 모두 좋았어요. 그리고 머무는 내내 음료를 새로 채워주셔서 너무 잘 마셨고, 주변이 조용해서 휴식을 취하기 좋았습니다. 테라스, 테라스의 테이블, 질 좋은 가운, 수영장 시설, 옷을 말릴 수 있는 공간, 그리고 로비에 뜨거운 물을 받을 수 있는 공간, 제공된 음료 바우처, 라운지의 맛있는 디저트와 음료, 모닥불, 귀여운 고양이 까지.. 장점을 쓰려니 끝도 없네요. 내년 여정도 선샤인을 다시 찾을 계획입니다. 행복한 경험을 제공해 주셔서 감사합니다.

Loved the hotel lobby with the bar with comfy chairs by the wood fireplace. The room was clean, modern bathroom, comfy bed and balcony facing rhe mountains. Friendly staff, central to the trains, shopping , eating and surrounded by great mountain views.

Slice of Heaven! Sunstar goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. From the warm welcome and helpful staff, every detail was thought out. The room was clean, quiet and cozy. Breakfast buffet was very plentiful with many choices. Sunstar is in a class of their own. We will be back and stay longer.

이 호텔은 아이거북벽을 정면으로 볼 수 있는 매우 훌륭한 숙소입니다. 발코니에서의 아침은 정말 눈부시게 아름다웠습니다. 다만, 자체 레스토랑은 정말 맛이 없습니다. 수십만원이나 하는 바가지 요금에 맛은 정말 없습니다. 식사하는것은 비추천합니다. 그리고, 호텔 조식도 정말 먹을만한게 없습니다. 그냥 억지로 한끼 먹는 수준입니다. 아침 조식도 추천하지 않습니다. 이외 나머지는 정말 좋습니다.

LOVED the spa. Front desk staff weren't very knowledgeable/helpful. I got a parking ticket from parking in the lot right next to the hotel. It was 140 Swiss Francs, that kind of soured the experience. Hotel staff did not ask me if I had a vehicle upon check in. Learned the hard way. Then I asked the staff how I can pay the ticket, and they had no idea since I don't have a Swiss bank account. They weren't much help. Figured it out on my own... the hard way once again. My shower was clogged during the entire stay. I told the front desk 2 hours after checking in. It was never fixed. I stayed for 4 nights. Disappointing. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Views were insane! Spa was lovely.
