I think the customer service could have been better, they were ok! Didnt feel too welcome from the staff in the front desk!

âThe El Moore Lodge was a great experience in the heart of Detroit. Small/Boutique building with residences above. The staff were very friendly. There's a lovely park next door and a market around the corner. I will definitely recommend this place to others! â

âA very charming hotel. The hotel was in a perfect location if you want to walk to enjoy Red wings at the Little Caesars Arena. The room was a bit small to fit a family of 4 with suitcases. However we really enjoyed the hotel and the bar. The coffee in the morning was excellent.â

âThe property is on the cusp of the downtown hotel district next to a transit center, which is great to get to the sporting events and other areas of downtown (free train) but crowded with folks waiting for buses, etc. Room was clean but furniture was not comfortable after a long day. â

"Love the Shinola design and was very excited to stay here - but will not return. Dont get me wrong, the design of the room was great and the check in was friendly and a glass of bubbly was received. The films telling about brand, materials, design etc was great to watch. Comfortable bed. But the cleaning between the days was so poor and had dust in the corners and mold in the "zink hole". Don't even think the pillows were fluffed between the days. The beautiful Shinola alarm clock showed wrong time (1 hour) and be prepared to wait very long if you having breakfast in house. It did not live up to expectations and there are plenty of other hotels out there I rather try next time. But location is great, value for money less."
