“A little run down. Quaint area, close to ferry. But needs a little upkeep. And a little help with house keeping. Loved seeing the deer on the property”
“It’s an aging facility, but it seemed clean and had all we needed. Coffee, shampoo, etc. At least one electrical outlet didn’t seem to work and there was a floor lamp that I couldn’t find a switch for so I couldn’t use it. It’s pretty close to an area with several restaurants which was handy and walkable.”
“The hosts gave us the room and code for a remote check in when our train kept getting later and later.
The decor is simple and very cute. It was hard to get an Uber late at night from the train station in Mt Vernon. Best bet is to try both Uber and Lift but we did wish we’d just rented a car as we would have explored the area more.”
“Breakfast was bagels, muffins, toast and cereal. There were two waffle machines and one was broken. No juice. No milk. Stuff for toppings for oatmeal but no oatmeal. We ended up going to a restaurant to eat because it was very unappealing. Hardly worth $200 a night. It's a renovated motel. Nice inside but we could have stayed somewhere way nicer for that much money. Not impressed.”
