Rymlig Log Cabin med Expansive Mountain Vistas, National Forest

  • En bra flykt för dig, familj och vänner! Vacker 3 sovrum timmerstuga belägen på 35 + hektar med expansiv utsikt över bergen från wrap-around däck. Cirka 20 minuter från Royal George, forsränning och många utomhusaktiviteter. En avskild tillflyktsort för att koppla av och njuta av de vackra Rocky Mountains. Wifi, bra celltjänst.

    Tre sovrum på två nivåer. Bottenvåningen har sovrum, eget badrum. Övre våning har två sovrum (två queen sängar och full säng), ett loft med en drottning futon (mycket bekvämt) och ett badrum. Wrap-around däck är ett bra ställe att äta, umgås och titta på de vackra soluppgångarna över Pikes Peak. TV och DVD-spelare är på huvudnivå med tillgång till Netflix / AmazonPrime / etc och DVD-skivor för hela familjen.

    Köket är fullt möblerat för din njutning: kaffebryggare, mikrovågsugn, ugn / spis, diskmaskin, handblandare etc. Vardagsrum med öppen spis är möblerad med skinnsoffor och TV / DVD. Spel / pussel / böcker finns tillgängliga. Huset är uppvärmt med en log-brinnande eldstad (trä tillhandahålls) och extra värme med centralvärme.

    En grill finns tillgänglig för grillning och garaget är ett utmärkt ställe att hålla bilen.

    Enkel tillgång till Royal Gorge, forsränning, zip lining, Gädda och San Isabel National Forests för vandring, ATVing, jakt, fiske. Tonar av vilda djur och hisnande landskap. En stor familjresa. En chans att undvika det livliga röret i staden. Eller, en bekväm jakt / skidstuga.

    Aktiviteter i närheten:
    Familjevänliga städer: Salida, Buena Vista och Canon City.
    Skidåkning: ~ 1. 5 timmar från Breckenridge, Monarch Ski; Ski Cooper.
    ATVing: direkt från huset till statliga och federala mark.
    Rafting. 30 min från Royal George guider (t ex. och ~ 1 timme från många på Arkansas River mellan Buena Vista och Salida.
    Zippel och helikopterturer på Royal George.
    Vandring / fiske: från egendom och nära körning / ATVing distans. Nedlagda gruvor, homesites, etc.
    Hotsprings: Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, en timme.
    Mat: några restauranger i pittoreska Guffey (10 minuter körning), Royal George (30 min), Buena Vista (60 min), Salida (70 min).

Best family vacation yet

A week on the mountains with sunrise coffee and a view of the sunrise is the start that every day needs! Then ending the day with a beautiful view of the sunset to the west. The cabin was fantastic and we’ll be back for sure.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay greatly. The home was very comfortable & it’s location was perfect. We were able to go to Breckenridge & Monarch ski areas very easily. We enjoyed the House especially in the evenings after a long day out, we’d come home light a fire & watch the wildlife. Great overall experience.

Great luxurious retreat

After breaking down with our motorhome we had to come up with a short notice alternative plan. How lucky we were to have found Scott’s cabin via VRBO. What started with a desaster turned in to a wonderful vacation for the whole family. Scott was so nice and allowed us to use the canin the very same day we booked. Great location, very nice host. We would repeat in a heartbeat.

Solitude in the mountains

We enjoyed our coffee each morning in the mountains with only the birds singing and listening to the pines as the morning breeze passed through. No highway noise, no barking dogs, no neighbors....just nature. A great opportunity to unwind and relax. The location also provided an opportunity to be with a couple hours drive from Colorado Springs, Canon City, Breckinridge, Fairplay and Buena Vista.

We booked this cabin for a month stay & truly excited to spend time in such a beautiful, peaceful setting. The home itself is stunning—spacious, comfortable, and exactly as pictured, with breathtaking views of the mountains and surrounding wilderness. The nearby town is also incredibly charming, locals are kind & welcoming, making our short time special.Unfortunately, after five days, we began experiencing severe altitude sickness, something unanticipated, our first time staying at 9,300 ft. We had to leave the property & relocate to a lower elevation.Understand this may not affect all guests, but for those unfamiliar with higher altitudes—it’s important to know. A lesson learned for us.Scott responded to our concerns and refunded half of our stay, which we appreciated. His communication was welcoming and helpful, and the home was exceptionally well-equipped—truly the most equipped vacation rental we’ve stayed in across Australia, Europe, & the U.S.Honestly, when we first arrived, we were already thinking of extending our stay or coming back in the winter. We could see ourselves living in such a beautiful place and had even begun looking at properties in the area. So having to leave was genuinely disappointing.We’d absolutely recommend this cabin for those already acclimated or comfortable with higher elevations—as it is truly heaven in the clouds.

Peaceful secluded cabin with amazing views

We loved our stay at this cabin! So quiet and peaceful outside, with amazing mountain views, including being able to see Pikes Peak from the property. The sunrises here are especially incredible! We saw a variety of wildlife, such as deer, hummingbirds, chipmunks, rabbits, Steller's Jay, magpies, and others! You have to get up early if you really want to see them! There is also an abundant variety of plant life outside, such as: cacti, the trees, and a variety of beautiful wildflowers on the property. We loved exploring the property with our kids! Inside, the cabin had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of seating at the table and in the living room area for our family of five. The location is somewhat remote, so if you own to see more places in Colorado, like Pikes Peak/Colorado Springs, Royal Gorge, etc., there is a decent amount of driving involved. However, being able to go back to the cabin and unwind in peace without the hustle and bustle of city life was completely worth the extra driving - plus you have incredible views on the drive! We would highly recommend this cabin to others, and hope to stay here again in the future!

This home was amazing. Had all that you could need. So spacious inside and the views were fantastic.

Our host Scott was very responsive to all our inquiries before our trip and that made it so much more easy to plan for anything we might have needed. However, the house had plenty and we didn't have to bring anything but ourselves and enjoyed the whole time there. Was amazing.

Peaceful place away from it all!

The property was just as described in the rental listing. Well stocked and clean. Plenty of space for everyone. They owners were great with communication and information about the rental. This is the perfect quiet spot if you need a place to unwind, and enjoy nature. We went into Guffey to eat breakfast at the bakery a few times and enjoyed the company there. Canon City is a short drive away for all you would need. We visited several places in the area (day trips) but enjoyed all our evenings/nights at the house, grilling, star gazing, and warming up with a fire in the fire place. When we are in the area again, we will most definitely stay here!!
