Bayfront Vacation Home - gorgeous views and perfect for family vacation

Enjoy the most beautiful sunsets from this quaint, private vacation home located directly on the bay!! Relax on the spacious deck and watch the birds and dolphins. There is a private pier for fishing or just soaking up the sunshine. The property is located on the Fort Morgan Peninsula away from the hustle and bustle of the main Gulf Shores tourist area yet close enough to visit all of the attractions if desired. The kitchen is equipped with appliances, cookware, and serving ware. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom in the main living area of the home. There is a bonus second full utility bathroom on the ground level that is perfect for rinsing off after the beach or to easily access while fishing off the dock. The house comfortably sleeps 6 guests. Primary bedroom has a king sized bed, guest room 1 has a full sized bed, and guest room 2 has two twin beds.
Closest Gulf beach access is about 1.5 miles away. Additional beach access points with paved parking 3.5-4.1 miles away. Ft Morgan historic site and beach are 8.6 miles away. Championship golf courses and fishing charters within 10 miles. The Village Hideaway Restaurant and shops at The Beach Club Resort are directly across Hwy 180 from the property (0.2 mile).

This property is located approximately 12 miles west of Hwy 59 on AL HWY 180 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

* Free guest parking - up to 3 vehicles on site.

* Amenities include free WiFi, 3 smart tv's (no cable/satellite), and fully equipped kitchen, outdoor deck, private pier.

* Linens come furnished, but please bring your own beach towels.

* Guests receive a “single starter pack” of laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, one trash bag per trash can, one roll paper towels/toilet paper, and travel-sized soap per bathroom.

The house was as pictured. It is a little outdated and in need of alot of repairs. It is also for sale. We had people show up wanting to look at the house while we were there. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious for our party of five. The tvs were a little hard to work they did not want to connect to the internet. There was two connections to choose from and one stopped working so we had to troubleshoot it to get it to work. The downstairs bathroom is completely unusable it smells horrendous and was not clean. Overall was a nice stay.

This home and location was perfect for our family getaway. We loved the location and simplicity of it. The pier was the highlight and we spent most of our time there, fishing, watching dolphins or just hanging out. We definitely plan to stay again!

When we arrive to this property everything looked good except for when we opened up the refrigerator to put our food in it that we brought because we decided to rent this property because I had a full kitchen and we could save a lot of money by buying food and eating and cooking at the house we open the refrigerator and it smelled a horrible strong smell of fish rotten fish even the freezer even after we turn the ice maker on and made ice in the freezer it also smelled and tastes like fish it also made the house smell horrible throughout the whole house even after being gone for hours we ended up having to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars in buying food which was not in the budget and eating out for every meal and snack the only thing we were able to keep in the refrigerator was a gallon of tea and a couple of drinks unless they were drinks that were not completely sealed but still then the containers and everything still smell like fish and if you opened it it made the smell worse in the house it actually made my husband gag quite a few times I made this known to the property manager and nothing was ever resolved we were refunded 200 but I feel like the almost 1,000 of food that we had to buy because we had to eat out every meal still does not make up for the inconvenience and the extra money we had to spend and the property manager was rude all she kept saying is since we chose not to use the refrigerator I don't think anyone would want to use the refrigerator we al

Beautiful & Relaxing

This is our second stay as a group but my husbands 3rd stay. Never disappoints with how beautiful the house and the view is. Even enjoyed sitting out on the deck and listening to the music from the beach club across the street. Thanks again to the owners for renting out such a beautiful place.

Excellent stay

The property is a little older but it was clean. My husband and I wanted a place off the grid a little and away from the noise of tourist spots. Plus he wanted to do a lot of fishing. It was the perfect choice with the private dock and in location. We would definitely look to book here again.

Just what was needed…

We enjoyed our vacation to the Gulf Shores. We will definitely be back. The VRBO was convenient to all necessary items, while at the same time being remote and quiet. The location allowed us to relax enjoy the water or take a short drive to catch the ferry to Dauphine Island, walk at the wildlife refuge or shop at the Wharf.

A sad time for us.

The location was great. but there were small roaches inside. On our arrival we got a phone call that my mother in law had dies. So we stayed one night and then had to travel home. but the coffee maker did not work that morning. I wish we could have gotten some money back or a voucher to use at another time. I understand the rules but a death should be an excuse to get some sort of a refund.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. The only pro of this house was the size and the peir. The driveway is rutted pretty bad in many spots . The houses on each side of the property are basically falling down. The one home literally has a chunk of tree that collapsed on it. (I know the property manager can't control others properties, but just something to think about since you have no other choice but to stare at the eye soars because the homes are right on top of each other. ) When we arrived at 4 to check in, as soon as we entered the home the floors were still visibly dirty (mainly sand, but still disappointing considering all renters are paying pretty ridiculous cleaning fees.) The 3 bedrooms were carpeted and stained in multiple spots. The fridge worked just enough to keep thing cool (but wait I'll tell you why you don't even want to use the fridge!) Water pressure for the shower was terrible. When I originally booked this Vrbo back in January 2023, the reviews were decent (any bad ones were mainly about the downstairs room smelling awful, which we didnt plan to use) After you book a place, why would you keep checking reviews? I should have, because they went down hill FAST. And all about cleanliness. So anyone reading this, the previous reviews from the 2023 year, they are true and in my opinion, people were being too nice in these bad reviews. This place is full of ROACHES. The house was a great size and plenty of space. We also had everything we could need. The house was not as clean as I’d expect (hairs on pillow, shower, misc trash on end table, etc.) and there was a roach issue. All in the kitchen and living area, crawling on the walls, floor, counters and couch. That was unsettling. Aside from that it was a nice house. Though I wouldn’t likely stay again. Thanks!!

Great time!

Our adult son stayed in the downstairs bedroom, I’m not sure if the smell was moldy or just the damp wood paneling, but he was happy there, the bathroom was very small downstairs so we didn’t use it for showers, just for bathroom breaks while fishing and cleaning fish (the fishing was great)! We enjoyed the views the whole time! And it was very peaceful and quiet. No complaints!

Last Minute Fort Morgan Getaway

I hesitated to rent due to the last couple of reviews in regard to cleanliness. Unfortunately, they were right. The place was cute but could have been cleaned better. The carpet needs to be replaced…it is stained up pretty bad. I had to unload the dishwasher from previous guest. That should have been handles prior to my arrival. We did not need the extra room downstairs, which is good due to the smell from that area. The view is beautiful as long as you look straight ahead. Houses on both sides of the property are dilapidated. That’s really a shame. I am one that reads EVERY SINGLE REVIEW and should know better. I would not rent again.

Overpriced for what it is

In terms of real estate they say it’s always about location, location, location. Anywhere within a few miles of the shore is going to be expensive. I get it. So what do I mean by overpriced? Well, the fees we pay to have it cleaned, the price for the “entire” home was sub par. We got there well after check in time and the people they outsource cleaning to just showed up 10 minutes before we did. Then, when we get settled in the upstairs A/C unit wouldn’t get below 78. It’s a very small home and it was ran by a 2 ton straight AC which should have kept up. Some of the vents were building up condensation which WILL lead to mold FYI for guests staying after July 4th 2023. There was no air filter in the filter grill, so it’s just pumping dirty air clogging up those coils. Explains the struggle that unit is having. Said something about it (included photos) to the manager and nothing was done. The downstairs bathroom is a complete joke. You guys have had several other guests complaining about the smell. It’s horrible. They said they would have a plumber come out, no one did. So I had to pay full price for only able using 1 bathroom instead of two. Just a hint, replace the toilet because that’s where the smell is coming from. Bad wax ring and it’s not sealed. Or, convert it into a storage closet because advertising that it’s anything other than a smelly dumpster fire is a lie. The fridge is old and way outdated and could barely keep our groceries cool.

It was okay.

This wasn’t our best stay. I’ll start with the positives. -this fishing was wonderful -the view was beautiful -the location was great -it was a roof over our head and a shower to shower in. The negatives: -the cleaning crew showed up at 3:30 and check in was supposed to be at 4:00. She was not done with the upstairs until 5:00. we had a 5 month old sitting in the car the whole time with an adult waiting to be able to even get him inside the house. Unacceptable for the amount of money being paid. -the house was dirty. The rugs were disgusting. The rug in front of the washer was soaked. When we picked it up there was black on the floor. The floor wasn’t mopped before we came in. It looks like she just changed the bed sheets and picked up dishes. Not even sure if the cleaning crew swept. -the downstairs bedroom is so musty it’s hard to bear, there is also ants all on the couch. -the downstairs shower was gross and smelt awful. -trash from the people before us was left on the outside(to go boxes, lids from milkshakes) due to the cleaning crew rushing. For spending the amount of money we spent, I felt like we should’ve had a clean place to stay. Thank you.

Perfect Getaway on The Bay!!

The cottage is very charming. We loved it! The pier on the bay was amazing! My son caught blue crabs for the first time and my daughter cooked them. They had a fishing contest and caught all kinds of fish! The location was perfect. The older kids went to the beach every day. The water was calm and clear!!! My daughter even loved the downstairs bonus room. We had a quick major storm one night and branches fell on my windshield and made multiple cracks. The company was very professional about it! We would love to return. We had a family of 8, and it was the perfect size!!!
