We booked a four-night stay at The Beach Club Resort. The resort itself was stunning, offering beautiful views and plenty of activities. However, our experience was marred by several issues.
On the night we arrived, we stayed up late playing board games and listening to the ocean waves. When we finally went to bed, we discovered discolored sheets, sand particles, and numerous strands of hair in the master bed. It was clear that the sheets had not been properly changed prior to our arrival. As it was late, we had no choice but to pull up the sheets and sleep on the exterior of the bedding, which was frustrating and unpleasant. Additionally, we found sand on the floor and kitchen utensils with food and egg particles from previous guests. I was also surprised to find there was no pizza cutter in this unit.
The second night, my 12-year-old daughter discovered that her bed railings were broken. One slat on the side of the bed was on the floor while the other was not, causing the bed to lean when she lay or sat in it. We notified housekeeping and Ms. Martin. Housekeeping argued that the sheets had been changed, despite visible evidence to the contrary. Ms. Martin assured us that housekeeping and maintenance would address the issue. However, maintenance never arrived, and my daughter, whose birthday trip we were on, had to sleep in a broken bed each night.
While we loved the location and view, this condo requires more attention and attentiveness to guests.
