Beach Front Condo with Bunks!

Floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sliding glass doors in all units! When a beach vacation is beckoning, Island Winds East in Gulf Shores is the place to be. Island Winds East offers great condo comforts, including a variety of upscale amenities that will help you relax and get the most out of your stay. It's well within walking distance to a number of great local boutiques and restaurants. A fully furnished kitchen means you'll have everything you need at home to cook, too. Island Winds East has 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos that sleep up to 8 people comfortably. The condo is conveniently located near downtown, and has on the premises a Gulf Front heated pool. Right outside the condo you'll find the white sugar sands of Gulf Shores, perfect for strolling in the morning, playing during the daytime, and stargazing from in the evening. The town of Gulf Shores and its neighbor Orange Beach have plenty to offer the beach vacationer at Island Winds East, no matter how many times you have visited. Our restaurants offer the freshest of Gulf of Mexico seafood and provide ample variety. Whether you're looking for a low-key night out with pizza or homestyle southern food, or an upscale evening at a white tablecloth restaurant, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have you covered. The region boasts great fishing all year round, and some of the best golfing of any town its size. Gulf Shores plays host to exciting events throughout the year, including the Hangout Music Festival, the Mullet Toss, and the Shrimp Festival. Stay any time of year and enjoy the temperate climate of the Gulf and unlimited beach relaxation. Parking is limited. A one bedroom condo will be issued one (1) car pass. A two or three bedroom will be issued a maximum of two (2) car passes. Island Winds East Units: Onsite parking is limited to one (1) parking pass per unit, regardless of size during mid May through mid August, Labor Day, and Shrimp Festival event. Subject to change. On-site paid parking is available and managed by the property's HOA. Parking passes can be purchased upon arrival and are valid for the duration of your stay. Please be sure to display the pass clearly on your driver's side dashboard at all times while on the property.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, U-hauls, trailers, boats, jet skis, buses, and similar vehicles are not permitted on the property.
NOTE: Island Winds East parking is limited to one (1) parking pass per unit (regardless of size) during Spring Break, mid-May through mid-August, Labor Day, and Shrimp Festival. Subject to change.

Wouldn’t come back.

You’re allowed 1 parking spot, even in a 3 bedroom condo. The 1 parking spot is NOT free, it’s 50!! They don’t tell you that in the listing. There is parking for other guests, but it’s not even close to being walking distance. The place is in really bad shape. There is obvious water damage everywhere and the ceiling is crumbling in spots. When we arrived, the dishwasher smelled awful and had old food stuck inside, absolutely disgusting. Even worse, the cabinets had dirty dishes left inside, like the cleaning ppl knowingly put dirty dishes away.Huge cracks are visible where the sheetrock meets the floors and ceilings, which just adds to the rundown feel. The living room curtains are sheer and don’t cover the windows at all, so if you’re planning to sleep on the pullout sofa, good luck blocking out the sun, it’s impossible.Overall, this condo feels neglected, poorly maintained. Definitely not worth the price.

Beautiful location but the room needs some attention

Our family had a wonderful stay and the location is awesome. Right on the beach and short walking distnace to many nice restaurants and shops. The room could use some attention. We had no glassware in the kitchen and the pots and pans look like they washed up on the beach. There were also no hangers in the closets. I complained the first day, but we never received any glasses and they were only able to provide 4 hangers for our clothing. The master bathroom is missing a grab bar in the shower tub and has no exhaust fan. The bedroom with the bunk beds is as shown, however, the top bunk has a mattress that is as thick as the railing, so it seemed unsafe to us. Very easy to roll off the top bunk. Families with smaller children beware! We were able to use the pull-out couch in the family room instead. All-in-all, it was a nice stay, but we expected a little more from the room.

Great Location with a great Condo

Island Winds East is a great Condo to stay at. However they only allow one parking spot and they don't suggest any lots that are close. There are some however. Pier 33 for example. The owner was very vague and unhelpful when I asked questions. It was easier to call Brett/Robinson instead however they were wrong about the terrible parking policy. Upside is the place is nice, great Location and the office is open 24/7. I will stay again now that I know what to do.
