Relaxation Station

Enjoyed the property for the most. Having an elevator, the luggage carts, washer dryer, the balcony, the unit for the most part and of course the view. But, their were dishes in the dish washer, the floor needs a good cleaning, single ply toilet paper, like a cheap hotel and one trash bag. One tv remote without batteries and another showing low batteries. We liked it and would try it again.

Disgusting

First of all the floor was very dirty. The realty co sent someone to mop the floor. It did help some. The bedding, sheets, dust ruffle on the bed, sleeper sofa mattress and the sofa itself were stained and was not very clean. So were some of the towels. The sofa sleeper was disgustingly dirty with what appeared to be dried candy pieces under the mattress plus the sofa mattress itself had urine stains all over it. There was a layer of dust and sand on the nightstands and bedroom furniture. Granted this is a pet friendly older condo but it needs a thorough cleaning. Will not stay here again.

Spring break trip

Got the job done

We aren’t picky as far as where we stay when we go to the beach since we don’t spend too much time in the room. We have stayed at high end condos like Phoenix West and it is always really nice but very expensive. We wanted to save money this time and found this condo on a last minute search. It is not the nicest place but got the job done. It had all the essentials and our kids never knew the difference between here and a nicer place. we enjoyed the easy beach access and the outdoor pool.

For the amount of the cleaning fee it was disappointing to find hair in our sheets and the comforter on the bed which was a darker teal underneath and floral on top had actually big white bodily stain marks on them so the comforter was not washed between stays . It showed the kitchen table having placemats along with the balcony table having things and none of which were able to be found . That’s not a huge deal it just didn’t appear how it was presented in the photos . Over all the location was perfect ! The privacy was nice . Parking was a bit silly if we didn’t find a spot we had to park across the street but not to much to complain about . If they could get the cleanliness down it would have been better. Also couldn’t take the stairs because the smell of urine was so strong trying to get to the 4th floor was almost unbearable. Beautiful views though !

Building is clean and easily accessible. Bender Realty staff kept us informed and we had no surprises during our stay. We would not hesitate to stay at this location again.

Great location/Needs improvement with housekeeping

Our family had a great time in Gulf Shores. The location was amazing right on the beach and private access. Our first night there we couldn’t find a parking space. After driving 10+ hours we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. There were no fitted sheets on the bed, instead they just put 2 sheets down and then the pillows without pillow cases, the comforter that was on the bed had blood on it, luckily we brought some extra blankets from the drive. The bed should definitely be replaced, we woke up in pain every morning. There weren’t any pillows or blankets for the pull out couch in the living room, also be sure to unplug the coffee maker because the on/off switch did not work and it wouldn’t shut off unless you unplug it. I called the property manager the next morning to ask about parking, fitted sheets, pillows/blankets for couch and a new blanket for the bedroom since there was blood on it. There were no apologizes given and the lady said there’s extra parking across the road, however that was under construction, plan to get back early if you want a parking spot that isn’t down and across the road. The property manager did drop off 2 throw blankets and a bed in a bag that had NO fitted sheets. They left the blood stained blanket on the floor and that’s where it stayed our entire stay. The convenience of this condo was great, close enough to everything but also quiet. The indoor pool was a nice bonus since it was too cold for the ocean, washer/dryer was great and the extra towels. I think they need to hire better housekeeping, invest in updates and maybe explain the parking situation during check in.

Be prepared to clean when you get there.

It wasn’t the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. Our bedding wasn’t fresh, felt like we were sleeping on someone else’s bedding/pillows, there was sand in the bed. The floors were caked with sand, so we did a quick sweep & it was 100% better. The glass window on sliding glass window had hand prints & smears all over it. Found several spots of build up on things. When we were in the room, I was pretty much cleaning just to feel a little more comfortable staying there. Besides that, the location was fine (towards the end of the island, so you fight through more traffic if trying to get to restaurants & shops), wasn’t terrible.

Location great but property needs some TLC

For a last minute trip this place sufficed. The beachfront view is fantastic and you are very covenient to the main drag of Gulf Shores. The walk from the building to the beach is pretty short, though at the time of our stay there was a wooden walkway under construction. However, for the unit itself, the floors need some deep cleaning (black scuffs and discoloration between walked areas and not) and there are not a lot of places (i.e. mats, rugs) to wipe your feet, so sand is just everywhere unless you want to vacuum or sweep yourself. The sliding door to the deck is troublesome to get open. The fridge is visibly rusty. The ceiling fan in the bedroom is noisy and has wiring visible. There is no way to deadbolt the front door so that is a concern for anyone with a child. And on a more nitpicky level, none of the common area furniture is particularly comfortable. I think the photos on this listing are heavily staged and make this place look nicer than it really is. Also, there are two pools on the property, indoor and outdoor, and they are both small and have a lot of rules against doing anything but just sort of hanging out in the water. Not necessarily a negative for us but I can imagine other families with kids being disappointed. And something that can't really be controlled but is still worth noting--sound travels too well in this building. There are quiet hours posted but we could hear our neighbors in every direction whenever we were in the unit.

Fan in the bedroom was hanging and not workable. Thin walls, coffee pot obviously had been replaced and barely compatible. Close to the beach was a plus. Ease of booking was 5/5. Communication with property management was excellent.

The property management is very nice and they had great quick communication. The condo on the other hand oof. My biggest issue was that mold is on the ceiling and the smell of it is very very strong. Now next would be the cleanliness of the condo. I had to clean everything to feel like we could stay in it. And the pools.#nope Other than those issues the location is great and the balcony is private beautiful views and quick access to the beach.
