Perfect Trip for R&R

We had the most amazing time! This is one of the best secluded beaches I’ve been to in a long time and the property is so quiet! The condo was perfect for our group of 5 adults!

We have had a pleasant and peaceful stay. Everything was amazing and the sand castle kit and lawn chairs were a plus. I would recommend providing kcups for the coffee machine as it would be a nice extra.

Great time

We had a great time and loved every minute at fort Morgan! Tacky jacks 2 is right across the street with the marina. The walk to the beach was short and access to the pool was easy. The view was amazing! We will be back!

Construction mess

We were told building was under renovation; which is probably why we got a good price. One day we woke up got ready to head to beach and the front door was taped shut with plastic covering the entire door. We had to force our way out the door pulling tape and plastic off. Construction workers were a few doors down and didn’t speak English so no telling how long we had been taped in. That is a fire hazard. We also got to endure ladders and scaffolding in the hallway blocking access to rooms, stairwell and trash shoot. That is also a fire hazard. The condo was great and owner was accommodating however it should have never been rented if it was going to block vacationers off from coming and going. At one point elevators were shut down and because of being unable to return to room my family had to stay downstairs at pool area with thunderstorms because door had been taped shut once again.

Nice location

Nice stay for a family of four. The amenities were perfect for us as we cooked most of our meals and the 5min walk to the beach was no problem. The pool was not heated, but many are not in this area. Just wishing it was open longer than 8pm. Grilling area needs a little TLC on property.

Easy & Breezy

We loved our stay here! The condo kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, decor was perfectly beachy, the view of the beach and pool was gorgeous, and communication with the property managers was fast and easy. We even saw a cruise ship sail by one evening! It's a short 5 minute walk to the beach down a little road w/a sidewalk. Definitely bring a (large wheeled if you have it) wagon to carry stuff and then it's no big deal. The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub was easy to access and very nice. The whole Fort Morgan area is so quiet and beautiful and definitely far out of the way of all the crowds. It made for some beautiful beach views without a ton of people. Plus it was definitely a family-friendly area to be, so even on Spring Break, we didn't have any loud partying or music or rowdy people to contend with. Tacky Jack's is across the street, but otherwise, I'd always plan to bring all of our meals/food/groceries with us, so we wouldn't have to drive back to town (about 25 minute drive). We did that this time, and other than driving the mile and a half to the Fort Morgan Historic site (which was a cool place to explore), we didn't even get into the car for three and a half days and just stayed on property. Bringing bikes would be a fun idea too! There are only a couple of improvements I'd recommend for the condo itself: Maybe adding a lounge-style chair for the patio for something a little more "relaxing" to sit on outside (we loved the high top 4-seater table though too for eating outside). A large-wheeled wagon and backpack chairs would be a helpful provided beach equipment for guests, so you don't have to pack your own (the car got crowded with wagons, chairs, coolers & groceries). Blackout curtains for the master bedroom and patio doors would be nice. The elevator landing lights are very bright right outside the master bedroom window, and of course the sun is bright in the living room, which is open to the bunk bed area. I can't speak to noise at night. I slept with ear plugs and didn't hear a thing. The kids said they heard construction equipment beeping early in the morning on Monday. We only managed to get the wifi internet to work for one evening, but it wasn't worth fussing with it for the three nights we were there. Overall it was a perfect trip and we would definitely return.

Not what we expected or what we were told

Not what we expected or what we were told No one ever told us you had to pay $40 per vehicle to park there in their parking lot then we were told the swimming pool would be open on the 15th so we came the 15th and the pool is an open. So they told us will go next-door that’s our property too well our pool should’ve been open to same as theirs. And the walk to the beach for somebody that’s partially handicapped you just can’t do it. The room is very nice and well I will Say it was very nice and clean but I was very disappointed and someone should be told before they run that if there is a $40 parking fee for each vehicle. Very very disappointed

October Vacation

Great getaway!! Awesome location and beautiful beaches! The condo was the perfect size for my family of 4. We took advantage of all the pools and grilling area. The kids had a really great time! Will book again!

Perfect place to unwind!

This condo is a great place to unwind and enjoy the beach! It is in a gated community of sunset properties. Our family of 5 slept comfortably here. It was nice having two bathrooms. The kids slept great on the twin bunks. The beach view balcony was so nice to sit on in the evenings. We visited the indoor/outdoor pool/hot tub eveyday after returning from beach. The walk to the beach was simple; even moreso because we brought our bikes. We just parked them by the boardwalk and rode them back to condo each eve. We also rode our bikes through the community every eve. Kitchen fully equipped-DONT FORGET to bring your own napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, dish soap and bath towels. Bath towels are supplied but they are very small. The condo is about a 20 min drive from gulf shores, so either stock up on groceries etc there or stop at sassy bass groceries on your way in. Sassy bass and tacky jacks restaurant are close if you want to eat out nearby. Overall, this condo was great. If I had to be nit-picky, the only complaint would be the sofabed. It was not comfortable (you could feel the bar under) and the sofabed was covered in crumbs and candy when opened. The easy fix was for my daughter to just sleep on the sofa. The staff was very nice and helpful when I needed to check lost and found. Hope this helps you! The Smallwood Family!

Perfect for us!

My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay at "Perfect Place to Make Your Memories". It was our annual get away to celebrated my birthday and our anniversary and we could not have asked for a nicer time. The condo was clean, well equipped, quiet, and had a great view from the balcony. We wouldn't mind returning to the same unit again!

I was disappointed that we were so far from the beach, we had to get in the car and drive next door to the dunes community to park then walk a good ways to get to the beach! By the time we got there we were exhausted!! The condo wasn’t as clean as I would have liked it to be, hair in the shower and dirty pots! Next time we go we will spend the extra money and get closer to the beach and nightlife!! Also to get into town is a 25 min drive!!!
