NEWLY REMODELED!! SANDALWOOD @ Sea Oats is a relaxing retreat on the quiet end of Gulf Shores in the beautiful Sea Oats complex. Enjoy the beach just steps away with deeded beach access; and also the lagoon with piers, perfect for fishing, boating, kayaking or simply enjoying the sunset. Boat slips available first come, first served. The unit has views of one of the pools and the Gulf of Mexico. The outdoor balcony is perfect for that early morning cup of coffee or winding down in the evening. You can sleep 8 very comfortably in the bedrooms and there is an air mattress in the closet for additional guests. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook meals in, but the area has some great restaurants if you prefer to go out. Additionally, the complex features a covered BBQ grilling area on the lagoon front. There is a full-size washer/dryer in the hallway closet for use during your stay.

Very dated. Not very clean. Carpet in bedrooms was dirty and furniture was old and stained. Great location and close to beach with a nice pool. Just old and not maintained.

Family Vacation

The condo was clean with lots of room for my husband, me and 4 teenagers. It had great access to the beach! It is a few miles down from all the restaurants in Gulf Shores, but the road was less busy and the beach was less busy as well. The pool is very nice and clean. The kitchen is well stocked. The listing said there were beach towels provided in the condo, but there were none. Make sure you pack towels! Overall, it was great and we would definitely stay at Sea Oats again.

Location was amazing place was okay

The place is very outdated and was not clean when we got there there was dead water bugs under beds and in living room there was piss stains under the couch and the water pressure sucks the location was amazing just the hotel needs work

We found a live roach in the bathroom. Owner said she would someone out as son as possible. We never saw anyone. There were no beach towels as stated on the website. The first night we cooked we found that the garbage disposal leaked and if you run the dishwasher it leaked even worse. I told the owner about this and she thanked me for telling her. Then she sad she will get it fixed. The reason I gave a 3star is because our grandchildren had so much fun in the pool and we did have a beach view. This was not a good experience.

There is no main floor unit. The unit is on second floor wirh 32 steps. 2 rolls of TP for 8 guest for 5 days. No dish soap/dishwasher soap or laundry soap but requested us to wash towels.

Relaxing weekend in Gulf Shores!!

This place was so awesome for our group. It was such a short walk to beach. We were able to escape for sunrise or sunset to read or walk around. Super easy to get to and away from business of spring breakers. We were on a quiet side of beach and didn’t have to fight crowds. Overall we would stay again if we visited Gulf Shores Again!

Family vacation

Overall we had a great time staying here. Communication with the property owner was quick and very helpful. Just a couple of things worth mentioning. It is on the second floor which can be difficult when hauling in your luggage or groceries. The master bedroom mattress has worn out spots that were so uncomfortable that my husband and I slept sideways on the mattress hoping to help with back pain. The pull out couch is not able to be slept on due to feeling every spring through it and the amount of urine stains on it. If you dont need the pull out, you should be fine. I would stay here again with some upgrades to the mattresses. The place as a whole could use some TLC but we spent most of our time on the beach.

Do not book under 25 or with college friends

It was a beautiful / clean and nice place but most people in the complex live there and are older and DO NOT like college kids. If anything just don’t bring a large group or talk/play music after 9pm. Neighbors will give you dirty looks. Check in was very difficult as well, we could not get in contact with host until hours after check in, and when contacted days before got no response. We also had problems with the parking passes (not enough and expired). Property manager and host were actually very nice just hard to contact.

Fantastic

The home was beautiful and communication with the host when necessary was very easy and efficient. (The only time they were contacted was for information on check in, we had no issues.) The area is very nice, quiet and convenient. Overall highly recommend. Something to mention, I did not realize while booking it was located on the second floor, so keep that in mind if you are not as physically able for stairs.

Great location

The property was comfortable and in a great location, very easily walk to the beach. The queen beds in 2 of the rooms were super hard but some enjoy that I suppose. Overall I would def stay again. We even left some fun beach toys in the closet for the next guest as it seems that was the thing to do since it was full of toys and floaties.

Overall not bad but has some wear and tear over time. This is our first stay at a non vacation club resort in 25 years so we had to adjust our expectations. All in all I thought it was fine but my family was a bit more critical……

Condo Review

For the price, it was decent. However, the kitchen had sugar ants and gnats.The bathroom floors & tub need to be upgraded. The furniture in the living room need to be cleaned. Furthermore, the pull out bed in the living room was not worth pulling out. You get what, you pay for.
