We had three families: 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and a 5-yr old for almost a week. In one word, our stay (and this property) was PERFECT! And Doug and Rose were great hosts - excellent communication.As the name "Steps to the Beach" suggests, the beach is quite accessible. Direct 200-300 ft walk from the corner of the house. Peaceful.The adults took the three king bedrooms (each with a nice bathroom); the 3 boys took the room with the bunks, which has bathroom also accessible from the common living space. VERY comfortable beds!The common living space is tastefully decorated. Plenty of comfortable seating. Ample room for everyone. Great for playing games, watching TV - just hanging out. The table with 8 chairs and 4 bar stools worked great for meals and games. The kitchen is modern, clean, roomy. Everything we needed. The front porch with six Adirondack chairs is spacious and another great place to hang out. Can see the Gulf and beach quite well!We also enjoyed the open-air space under the house (ground level) with its picnic furniture, overhead festive lights, two hammocks, corn hole game, hot-water shower and water hose for cleaning off after the beach. Closet has boogie boards, beach cart, beach toys, about six beach chairs, and a charcoal grill. We had a fun cookout of fresh fish we'd caught that day.At the end, no one wanted to leave. Our 5-yr old wanted us to buy the place so he could come back anytime he wanted (don't worry Doug and Rose)! We'll be back.

The perfect getaway

We have stayed at several places in Fort Morgan and this house has been our favorite so far. It’s directly across from the beach access so you get direct beach views from the front porch as if you are staying on the beach! The house is beautiful inside with extremely comfortable beds, fully stocked bathrooms with so many towels, and loved having bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower already. The kitchen was fully stocked as well with plenty of plates and silverware and every cooking utensil you would need. As a mom of 3 littles I loved all the kid utensils, plates, and cups for them and they have a high chair in the house as well. The downstairs hammocks and outdoor shower was an awesome after a full beach day and the storage unit had so many beach chairs, a wagon, cornhole boards, and even a kids sand toys. They have thought of everything in this beach house which was so nice. We had one issue toward the end of our trip but Doug and Rose were extremely quick to respond and fix the issue which was so nice. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful home & Great Host

Our stay was top tier. Doug was very helpful with any questions I had prior to arrival, and very tentative during our stay. The home has the perfect lay out for two families or more. Love the split floor plan. They have everything you need for a perfect beach day, chairs, toys, wagons etc. Which i was beyond grateful for. It is not often those amenities are offered to guest. I pray each guest following our stay respect their kindness and keep them nice, cleaned, and in good shape. 10/10 recommend.
