If I were the owner, I would have Spectrum manage it.

First of all, when I went to book this condo I thought it was through VRBO. When I went to complete the booking, it was through Vacasa. Not happy about that, but it was a last minute booking, so I went with it. I loved that this condo is on the ground floor and that the ice machine was right around the corner. I loved the floorplan of the individual condo and the property as a whole. What I didn't love was Vacasa as the management, especially on a holiday weekend. When we arrived, the code to our door wouldn't work. It was late in the evening and couldn't get a human on the phone, they would only text. The only way for me to get into the condo was after a resident of the building suggested I go around back to the sliding glass door to see if it was unlocked and it was. I spent over two hours texting with this company until I called the spectrum security to see if they could help. Not even their maintenance department could help me because it was rented through Vacasa. I called the number on the refrigerator for a Vacasa representative and got her voicemail. NOONE EVER CALLED ME BACK. I can't imagine the trouble we would have gone through had we been on a higher floor. Also, if you rent this property, make sure you turn on the dehumidifier hidden in the laundry room or you'll be sticky your entire stay. There are also plumbing noises that are loud and annoying. I will be renting in The Beach Club again, but NOT through Vacasa.

Roomy & Great Location

First floor living at the beach is awesome, easy in and out and no wait for elevator (which one was down during our stay). Condo was spacious, 2 bathrooms so kids had their own! Property was large, 24 hr watchman on duty. It’s off the beaten path, which we appreciated, so a drive into town. Beach was great, 5 pools on property, each with their own hot tub. This place is right outside one of the pools. Would rent again!

Location, location, location

Pros: Location! Good size place (especially the kitchen) Grounds are really nice First floor aka no elevators Washer and dryer Decent wifi Cons Needs an update Broken titles on the porch Needs a deep cleaning (stains on the blankets, marks on the floors, crumbs in the sofa bed Broken outdoor furniture (almost really hurt myself sitting on a rusted out chair) Clogged toilet when we arrived (bar of soap had somehow became lodged) Have pictures of all of this. Did call vacasa. They credited a small amount for the toilet and sent the cleaners (they claimed it was clean and didn’t need it). By the time they arrived, we had swapped out the blankets with our own (lucky we brought some) and decided to not use the sofa bed. Also, when they arrived they only brought sheets — didn’t help with the covers issue anyway. So, should you stay here? It’s a great location, convenient and the grounds are nice. Lower your expectations to that of a 2 or 3 star location and it’s ok. The price does not really reflect but you are really paying for the location and not the place.

July 2022 review

Door was propped open when we arrived at the unit...a little concerning when you check into a new place with your family. Mold in shower, which they did come clean up mid-vacation. Sharp edged broken tiles all over patio, so that was unusable, and overall it just needs some TLC. The location is great and we had a good vacation, but we were disappointed that the unit just didn't seem to be very cared for which isn't what you expect after driving across the country to get there.
