“We loved our stay in the small chalet apartment at Hotel Baren! We had an amazing view of the mountains and could hear the bells on the sheep just down the road… and see the bunnies playing just outside our window by Hotel Edelweiss. The free breakfast was AMAZING and we had dinner there, too - also delicious. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!”
“We visited at the end of April when this hotel was still under construction. It was a minor inconvenience as we paid for a “garden view” when the view was a complete construction zone. They did upgrade our room size because of this. That being said, the restaurant was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and ate at the restaurant both nights. Their buffet breakfast is also amazing. Seeing that the hotel is no longer under construction, I would definitely stay here...
“The name says it all. When you stay here, you feel like you are staying in a palace. On the outside, it is far away the most magnificent building in Murren. The inside is even better, tastefully and magnificently decorated. The staff is excellent, and the sauna in the spa area is not to be missed. Finally, the dining room is dramatic and the food, particularly the extravagant breakfast, is hard to beat.”

“Helt fantisltisk personal, så hjälpsamma med allt från utflykter till att få den mat som vi önskade. Reste med två barn på 10 & 11 år som inte åt alla mat på hotellet, men personalen var väldigt hjälpsamma med att sätta ihop bra barnmenyer åt dem.
Väldigt trevliga omgivningar.
Det ända lilla minuset var att när vi bokade så uppmärksammade vi inte att det inte gick att köra bil till Wengen. Nu löste det sig jättebra, för man parkerar bilen i Lauterbrunnen och tar bergståget till Wengen, en...
“The view from the balcony is wounderful. The staff friendly and helpful with good tips for trips in the area, breakfast ok.
But, the TV did not funktion even though we tried to fix it wiyh the staff( the staff got it then working when we were out for dinner), one of the bedside lamps did not work and we could not find a switch for the lamp on the balcony. Since the reception closed at 9.30pm we had noone to ask and it was pretty dark sitting on the balcony in the evening.”

“Very nice place and very kind front desk staff that was very helpful. The room was alright and the breakfast was great. The only thing that could be worth clarifying in the hotel description is that the hotel is only reachable via cable car since the hotel is located right up by the moutains. We had a great overall experience and it was fun having to take the cable car up to the mountains, it just took us a while to figure out how to get to the hotel since the GPS couldn't find it.”

"We came by car to Grindelwald to see Eiger and take the cable car to Eigergletscher. For this purpose, the lodge was excellent! We saw the big north face of Eiger through our window, and sitting on the roof of the adjacent Grill Bar and having a beer while watching the mountains was just amazing. The lodge is basic but in great shape. Checkin and parking was very convenient and breakfast was good. "
"Supercharmigt hotell! När vi var där var under lågsäsong och därför inte så mycket personal. Men de som var där var mycket trevliga. Hotellet hade också trevliga sällskapsutrymmen med honesty bar. Fin bastu och bra frukost. Inget att klaga på. Vi provade inte hotellets restaurang. "
