“Vi hade en helt fantastisk vistelse. Allt var helt perfekt. Frukostbuffen otrolig. Rummen stora och rena. Man kunde bara njuta!”

“Hotellet var svårt att hitta, men låg väldigt pittoreskt i hutongerna. Det erbjöds en mycket prisvärd frukost för en billig peng. Kvarteren runt omkring var livliga med gott om trevliga restauranger och på hotellets gård fanns också en trevlig pub. Det enda som var mindre bra var badrummet/toaletten som var inne i en glasbur i rummet. Det finns en rullgardin att dra mer för privacy - men vi var inte bekväma med lösningen.”

“Really appreciated the washer and dryer in the room with laundry liquid provided. The room was spacious, well equipped with a lot of storage place which makes for comfortable long stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly and the ability to buy food/shopping to be delivered to room/concierge makes it convenient for guests. This probably is one of the best hotel thus far for an affordable price.”

I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel. The front desk felt like a mini-UN: English flowed, and they snagged me Forbidden-City tickets in two minutes. Handed over dirty laundry at breakfast; it came back clean and folded at dusk—zero charge. Mattress = cloud, pillow = marshmallow, sleep = instant. “Hotell nära shoppinggallerior, restauranger och tunnelbanestation. Hotellet ligger granne med Sunworld dynasty hotell där vi bodde våra första 5 nätter. Crowne Plaza; rummet är i något sämre skick, men det uppvägs av större ytor och mer ljusinsläpp, minibar och hygienartiklar. Frukosten var jättebra. Hotellobby/Pianobar hade öppet till sent och sortimentet var helt okej, bra service men dyrt (80kr för en heineken 33cl). Priset för rummet var lite billigare än det andra, bar och restaurang hade...
