“A lovely location and unique building layout. Our room was great, the bed comfortable, and the rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good with freat service. The only reasons that we didn't give it an excellent was the lack of a toilet seat (which they remedied by opening the second bathroom) and the cooking tools were very limited.”

It’s extremely challenging if you encounter another vehicle from the opposite direction. The amenities are lacking. “5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day. The hotel is a short walk from a small beach and town harbor and near several excellent dining options....

“I believe that this place might appeal to others while might not to someone else. I am in the “not” group. I prefer more modern, updated places and the “old” doesn’t attract me. The host was nice, friendly and served us with a yummy breakfast. The place was clean.”

“This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Firstly, we got upgraded to a bigger junior suite at no extra cost. This was greatly appreciated by us, being four in our family.
