Mycket trevligt hotell och område
Lugnt område, god mat i restaurangerna nära hamnen (bättre än Sams Chowderhouse som vi tyckte var överreklamerat), bra parkering, bra uppvärmda pooler, bra morgonkaffe!

The rooms with a fireplace and balcony are very nice, perfect for a weekend get away. The hotel is right on the side of a highway, however. This is not apparent from any photos or information. This makes it imperative that one gets a room facing the sea -- otherwise you'll be looking out over a busy highway. The proximity to the highway also makes sitting in the outdoor hot-tub/pool not particularly pleasant. The constant sound of cars zooming by makes one feel like one is at a Motel 6. My biggest single dissatisfaction is with the breakfast. It consists of boxed cereal, buns that looked like they were bought at Walmart, and served on paper plates with plastic cups and cutlery. These are placed on tables in the lobby. There are no tables to sit at to eat. Most people seem to take their food up to their rooms. The whole experience was depressing and vaguely humiliating. It reminded me, again, more of a Motel 6 than of a hotel that I paid a great deal of money to stay in.

A happy surprise!
Wow! A working fireplace in your hotel room is just as cozy as it sounds! This hotels room blow us away! The room was terrific with a "living space" where the fire place was and then the bed area with a comfy bed. The bathroom was big and clean. The breakfast simple but a nice bonus. The staff was european. They were nice but not as friendly as american staff usually is. (that may sound a bit harsh but I am european myself and they were very european too) It's more "do it your self"- kind of attitude if you ask them a question. The dinnerplace next door which they recommended was not particulary good either, it was easy to tell they only wanted our money. A place like that gets guests no matter how they treat you or what kind of food they serve. (That was not the hotels fault, but a bit strange of them to recommend a restaurant like that) Part from that, this was a grain of gold along hwy 1! We will absolutely stay here again next time!

Check in was fast and easy. Staff helpful and friendly. Sitting on my balcony watching the sun set over the ocean was beautiful. The room was equipped with an easy light wood burning fireplace. Nice touch. Kitchen utensils, stove, microwave and dishes. Beautiful place.

Other than the shower being a little small. We had the most wonderful time at this hotel and can’t wait to return. The staff was more than helpful. The coffee, wine and light local breakfast spread were exceptional. Thanks so much for the best end to our stay in California.

This is a very nice hotel overlooking the beach and ocean with immediate access to the coastal trails. Great restaurant/bar immediately next door. The terrace, pool and spa area is great. It’s nice to soak in the whirlpool while watching the waves crashing. Very comfortable room with living room and kitchenette. Nice deck. Good bathroom amenities

My partner and I, love our stay here at the Beach House. Our ocean view was breathtaking. We got to watch the sun go down, then we walk on the trail down to Sam’s restaurant, it’s just next door to the hotel. Our bed was so comfortable, we love our room, and enjoyed the morning breakfast. It was an amazing experience for both of us. We are definitely coming back to stay longer soon

We only stayed for one night, but the Hotel Was clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff were all very nice and helpful. Our room was very welcoming and accommodating. The location is great, the pool was warm even though it was only in the 50 degree temperatures. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and included fancy pastries in addition to the basics. We loved it! We would definitely stay here again!

The property is on the beach, this is my 3 time staying at this hotel... however the check in process this time wasn't smooth and welcoming like usual. A young lady without even welcoming asked me for my Id and my credit card and without even asking me nothing she is trying to charg my card $1.119,00 after 2 time my card got declined BCS I do have a max security amount that you can be charge in one transaction...she tells me my card got declined!!! I disappointedly look at her and I explained to her FIRST of all I have already payed the amount for 1 night(I have reserved the room through a third party) Second of all I said to her you should have checked on your computer my reservation to figure out if I should have paid and how many night I should be charged of... I couldn't believe my eye...when she kept trying to make me paid $1,119.00...I never ever had experience something so embarrassing!

We arrived 2 hours prior to check in but our room was ready early, that was nice! Beautiful room, realllllly comfortable bed, we sat out on the back patio and watched the boats in the harbor, it was very relaxing. Everyone's patios are so close to one another though, there's no privacy - I would like to see the hotel add some type of privacy barrier between people's patios. Breakfast in the morning was ok, it met the minimum criterion. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Good stop South from the airport
