“very steep stairs leading to rooms. Property is showing signs of wear and tear. We received emails regarding questions of access and connection to after-hours staff after we left!!! The room was clean and well stocked but showed its age. there is a much better option 10 minutes up the road for almost half the price. There are no extra amenities to speak of . Basically, there are only 2 options within the village and thus, this one is overpriced. Stay in Haliburton or Bracebridge instead.”
“From the moment we booked Coopers Landing, the whole experience was very positive. Super smooth check-in, super responsive host, very organized cottage, very well equipped, loved the kitchen, very clean, gorgeous views, amazing sunsets, great wildlife, Herons, otters, loons, deer, etc.. The owner and host have thought this out very well, to make your stay memorable and relaxing. Just bring your clothes and food and enjoy life to its fullest. 5 stars !”
“The place is dated and needs major upgrades to make it a 3-star hotel. But, the staff were friendly, there was hot water and the sheets were clean. That's what I was looking for. The alternative was staying at a camp ground nearby, and this was a definite upgrade. That said, the carpet in the room was curling up in the middle of the room. The bathroom needs major touch-ups just to make it presentable to company. And, I found this kind of funny, the drapes aren't on a track, so you can't block...
“DO NOT BOOK. This is a scam. Non refundable and the place is closed permanently. The ‘host’ has disconnected numbers. Absolutely ruined weekend trip that cost a fortune that wasn’t reimbursed and we travelled hours from home. Expedia said they would find us other accommodations but nothing was available and we were on the hook for the bill. Terrible terrible terrible”
“Very disappointed in our trip this time. We've been coming to the sword in every year for the past 6 years.
The location is the only good thing about this property. When we got into our room, the shower still had other people's hair strands in it as well as old soap scum along the walls. The shower walls were not scrubbed at all after the last guests.
The room smelled musty and not freshly cleaned.
Maybe they went under new management, I have never experienced this place to be so terrible until...
