“Great place to stay - just as advertised. While not fancy or luxurious, it is very nice, comfortable and clean and in a spectacular location. Having morning coffee on lanai overlooking the ocean cannot be beat. Probably the best stocked kitchen in rental that we have ever had. Saul is an attentive (in a very good way) host. He provides great welcoming touches, including a bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers.”

“This property totally delivered on Everything. The view is spectacular. The house is perfectly clean and modern. The bedrooms are all ensuites. The kitchen offers up all kinds of choices for drinks and meals. Every detail was so well thought out, the host thought of everything. He even went above and beyond when we left something behind. “The three of us were very comfortable in suite 1 with the little twin window bed. The sound of the ocean drowned out the songs of the coqui frogs. It was a great location to see the sights on the Hilo side. The breakfast was amazing: fresh fruit, French toast or coconut pancakes, eggs to order, and juice. They have a little cabinet with first aid items and extra sunscreen.The hosts were caring and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this place!!!”

“I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dolphin Bay Hotel, even booked and stayed two more nights than planned. Tropical surroundings, very lush. Heard streaming water from a river nearby, short walk downtown and very helpful and nice staff. Comfortable and spacious room, yet it felt more like a Bed and Breakfast, not an ordinary hotel.”

“Price, location”

“Our stay at the grand Naniloa was ok. I would say 3 stars. Not 4 and it wouldn't allow me to unclick that 1 star. Staff was great but the only down fall I really hated about staying here is because I feel they did not accommodate the guests parking at their property. Every parking stall in the property was only valid for valet parking which was $25. Can u imagine paying that for everyday of your stay. They make you park across the street in a remote empty parking area where there is low light...
