âPerfect getaway in Antwerp! Our enthusiastic host, Yves ,welcomed us with open arms. The moment we entered the hallway, we saw a nice hallway with a big square chandelier⊠modern, but not too modern. The building still has a rustic personality!  The rooms are very open and the designer was very smart about the division. Everything was very clean! Nicely done! We already recommended the hotel to our friends and we are definitely coming back!!

âLovely hotel in the center of Antwerpen. Walking distance to design quarters (5 min) and to the big shopping street as well. Rooms are well planned with very comfortable bed and lovely linen to the duvet. White Company products in Shower and friendly staff.
Was not impressed by the breakfast. A mix of buffet and order that was fair - but oh the coffee - under all critics, tasted very sour. Also no minibar in the room but a bottle with cleaned tap water.â

âOns verblijf bij De Gulde Schoen is ons wederom supergoed bevallen. We houden van de luxe uitstraling en goede kwaliteit van afwerking van de ruimtes. Van de matrassen op het bed die heerlijk liggen tot aan het kopje koffie uit het Nespresso apparaat, alles klopt gewoon. En dik pluspunt is dat wanneer je de deur uitstapt je midden in het centrum staat. We hebben weer genoten!â

âAn oasis in the middle of the city! A pleasure for the senses, nice aromatic smells, the sound of the water in the fountain locating in the courtyard. The rooms are trendy, modern with a warm homy look. The old building is renovating very tastefully. The staff is friendly, competent and helpful. âWe had a terrific weekend at the hotel. Wonderful ambience with genuine architecture and interior design, live piano music for breakfast and an all over friendly and personal service. The location was great, in the middle of the street of the old city center and close to the river. "I had a great stay here. My first time solo travelling and I don't think my experience could have been any better. The reception is on the top floor, where you find the bar and breakfast area as well. All members of the staff that I talked to were very friendly and helpful. When you check in, you get a code that leads both to your room and to the hotel itself. Cleanliness was great, I opted for them not cleaning my room while I stayed there and I got a 5⏠voucher to be spent at the bar. Speaking of which, a nice little selection of beers in the bar and I got good recommendations from the staff. Coffee and tea is always free up there as well. Breakfast was good "
