Nate is a wonderful host. Very accommodating to any need or issue within reason. The groundskeeper who takes care of the property, clearing snow, salting ice, etc. was also available and friendly to be around. He even helped pull my son's van up the snow-covered hill by the house when they were leaving. I would recommend a all-wheel or 4-wheel drive during the winter.

Family Reunion

Family Reunion with 16 people. This spot was a perfect fit for our group and all the kids. Private location so evenings on the patio were great. Close to Harbor Springs and Petosky for beaches and dinners. Lots of fun stuff to do. House was clean and had amazing Forest views.

We had a great stay at The Hideaway with 3 generations of my family. The house was clean, and we had plenty of room to spread out (there were 17 of us!). Communication with the owners was excellent.

House was fine

We were a group of 11 adults (ages 26-68) and one toddler. We selected the place because it was relatively close to Mackinac Island and because of the number of bedrooms. It looked so great in the puctures! It was a large house, nice kitchen with everything we needed, enjoyed the hot tub, and communication with Nate was stellar!! Very very quick to respond. But the house advertised 3 king size beds. There were just two. The last half mile or so to the house was on a dirt road - directions could have been better. The bathroom in the basement, which could be for up to 8 people (we only had 4 adults staying downstairs) is VERY tiny and basic. And at 7:00 am the morning we left, we were awoken to the loud noises of a riding lawn mower. When I told the guy we were on vacation and sleeping in, and could he please come back a little later, he told me ‘no’. Overall, the house was fine for 4 days in MI, but did not live up to our expectations.

Perfect house for large groups

Stayed here for a combined bachelor/bachelorette trip. Beautiful secluded house with great views and plenty of space for large groups. Close to skiing and wineries/breweries. We really enjoyed the kitchen and outdoor/hot tub area. Also great communication from hosts.

Amazing house for large group of people

Great place for the 60th wedding anniversary of my parents - was perfect to be together yet spacious enough we each had our own space when we needed it. Ages 8-83. Nearby attractions for those who wanted to see places like Mackinac Island, golfing, fishing, etc. Kitchen was great for participatory cooking or just hanging out.

Perfect Family Gathering

Great locale for a Winter family gathering. The Hideaway has it all ... plenty of room, well appointed kitchen, great spaces for games, movies, and conversation - and places to sneak in some alone time. The hot tub was well visited as were the surrounding woods. And location to shopping, groceries and skiing made it super convenient even while still feeling like you're away from the crowds. Loved it.

Fabulous House for Family Gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway and the house was perfect for our large family gathering. We particularly loved the quiet location, close to Harbor Springs. There is great hiking, boating and beach access close by so we had plenty to keep us busy.

AMAZING

The house was absolutely beautiful! The area so peaceful. It was a great gateway for the whole family. Nate did a great job communicating with us. We couldn't have asked for anything else. We would absolutely recommend staying here and hopefully we'll be able to come back :).

Perfect spot for winter northern Michigan get-a-way

This property provides ample room for a group of family and friends to spend time together but not feel on top of each other. Kitchen was well appointed with appliances, dishes, cups and silverware. Aside from a problem with the stove, everything went smooth. Our group rallied to overcome no working stove and still provide delicious food. Communication with host was prompt. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great ski weekend

The Hideaway was an amazing find! We had 4 families there for a long ski weekend. The house easily fit everyone (18). It was big enough for privacy but still cozy for lounging. The pictures online really don’t fully show the beauty of the surrounding property. We were all blown away with how peaceful and private the home was. We loved looking out on the snow covered hills in the morning while drinking our coffee as well as relaxing and taking in the views in the outdoor hot tub after a long day skiing. The fireplace was really cozy and kept the house warm. Very well appointed home. The kids loved the basement. The hosts were so helpful and very approachable with any quick questions. We’d love to stay here in the summer too. Hope to be back next winter!

Gorgeous Home! Perfect for groups of all sizes

This house and property are amazing! Between the great room, kitchen and main basement area there is no shortage of common places to kick back and relax. There are tons of bedrooms to accommodate groups of all make-ups and sizes and the master suite is absolutely spectacular. Nate and Chaya were great to work with when we had questions. I would definitely stay here again!
