Det gamla huset brukade tillhöra Dr. McPheeter, en inbördeskrigskirurg. Det byggdes 1880. Ett steg upp på verandan och sedan vidare in i ytterdörren. Bakdörren har 6 steg upp till bakre veranda då inget steg in i huset. Ett sovrum (drottning), 3/4 bad, vardagsrum, matsal (plats 10), kök, frukostkrok och tvätt allt på bottenvåningen.
2: a våningen: Två sovrum med vardera en dubbelsäng. Ett sovrum med 2 singlar och en spjälsäng, 3/4 badrum, badrum på andra våningen.

Mom’s overnight

This property was even better than what the listing said. The host was quick to respond to anything that I asked. The listing does say one bathroom, but there are actually three full bathrooms. That was super helpful. There was a huge kitchen that was well stocked, plenty of towels and blankets. There was also ample seating in the living room area and at the dining room table. It was really a wonderful experience overall. The only downside is the dishwasher was not working, which we did not know about ahead of time. But overall, we were very pleased.

Beautiful HUGE house! Tall ceilings make it feel even bigger. There was lots of space for us to spread out, but also come together (loved that there was a table big enough to fit everyone so we could all eat and spend time together playing games). The house is exceptionally clean. Large kitchen for family cooking; I wish the dishwasher had been operational, but it was well-marked that it wasn’t so I just put my teenagers to work washing and drying and it was done in no time. Very close to Cave Country Canoes (15 min), and Marengo Caves (20 min) so this is a great spot to bring the family for a weekend getaway. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful big house

My family enjoys staying at this house. This was our second stay here. It has always been very clean and beautiful. Property owners are quick to respond to any messages. My kids feel at home and love the shower and hug bathtub. Highly recommend this house if you are ever in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

I cant think of anything I didnt like about this place. Beautiful house with everything we needed. Theres a Dollar General store a mile down the road for any last minute things you might want/need. Great view from the front porch. Relaxing watching the horses on the hills. We even found a small park a block away to let the kids play and see the horses and cows.

Fantastic for Kentucky Derby

This beautifully restored old house is the perfect place for your Derby group. Less than an hour away from Churchill Downs this beauty is the perfect location to rest between race days. The restoration added modern conveniences such as a dishwasher and other top notch appliances. There were plenty of electrical outlets and all the baths were modern and new. Besides the many modern updates the house features a fantastic covered porch to sit and ponder. I can assure you I will try to book this again for next year unless someone beats me to it.

Comfortable convenience

The property had everything that our family needed for a relaxing weekend. Loved the history of the home. The home is central to multiple locations which made it super convenient to get around and host was very responsive. Would happily stay again.

Peaceful palace

Wow!!!! This property is truly a gem. It is exactly as listed. When I entered the home, I was overwhelmed by a sense of peace. The decor is absolutely beautiful. It feels like home. The host went over and beyond with this home. The beds were comfortable. The house was beyond clean! The house has everything that you need! Friends getaway

4 couples stayed overnight after going to a concert. The beds were comfortable . If we had stayed in a hotel we would have gone to our separate rooms. We met in the living room at the house and chatted late into the nights. This trip will be a memory maker!

This is a fabulous home! We were 5 70 year old ladies just wanting somewhere to visit and shop! We shopped in French lick, Salem, Jasper and Paoli! Did a couple of wineries! Had a wonderful time 😄

Bears Hollow Festival 2021

The house and location was perfect. Such a Beautiful historical home!! We had some AC issues int he front bedroom and contacted the host. Unfortunately it was a larger fix than just a quick fix. We only spent a few days but I would love to stay again sometime.

Superb Overnight!

My group stayed overnight for a 'girl's night' prior to the Rugged Maniac at Paoli and we had such an enjoyable night! Wish we had booked the second night as well! Home was immaculate with all the amenities you could want and host was easy to communicate with and very gracious. We will be back!!

Great home!

What a beautiful home and yard! This house is spacious, well equipped, and clean! You can tell the owners take pride in their property and take great care of their guests. If you are in the area I would highly recommend this house!
