Carrot Top Cottage surrounded by National Park

Tucked in middle of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Carrot Top Cottage is just steps off the Appalachian Trail and a short walk to the world-renowned attractions of Harpers Ferry.

Enjoy the history and natural beauty of Harpers Ferry from your own well-appointed private cottage with all the comforts of home. Play in the spacious backyard, relax around the firepit, or read a book on the wrap-around porch that looks out over the grounds of the National Park headquarters.

The Cottage is designed to sleep up to 4 adults with the king bed and full-size bed. The futon in the loft is great for kids but we don't recommend it for an adult.

We had a marvelous time during our stay at Carrot Top Cottage. The cottage was lovely with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was beautifully decorated and well stocked with essentials. Our hosts, Cathy and Bryan were available but not intrusive and communicated with all essential information. The location could not have been better. I would definitely recommend this particular place should you wish to explore and spend some time in the Harper's Ferry area. We loved it !

As soon as we entered the Carrot Top Cottage, we felt completely at home. The cottage is a perfect mix of cozy charm and modern convenience. We enjoyed cooking several meals in the well-stocked kitchen, relaxed each night with wine on the porch, and also in the comfy living room. Walking distance to downtown area and Appalachian Trail. We would definitely stay again!

We loved this little cottage! We wanted to pick it up and take it home with us. It was extremely well stocked and comfortable. We had rain all day on our last day there, but the cottage was so comfortable, that we just spent most of our day there. It’s very conveniently located. Although the cottage itself is technically surrounded by national park land, we drove to the visitor center and rode the trolley to Lower town. Lower town is amazing! Also, Antietam is only about 30 minutes away. It’s also a great national park.

Cottage was very clean, inviting and unique. Easy access to shops and restaurants as well as National Historical Park. The owners initiated most of the communications regarding check in and check out and communicated both emails and texting. Would love to come back and stay again!!

My family had a great stay at the cottage. It's a short (but steep) walk to town and very convenient to the Appalachian Trail. We had a fun time exploring Harper's Ferry. There were 2 baby deer that visited the yard on multiple occasions. We stayed in July and the AC did a good job of keeping the house cool, it was also convenient having a washer and dryer. Would stay again if we're back in the area!

The house is adorable inside and out! Pulling up to the house you just know that you are in for a treat! The decor is absolutely perfect. Great place to stay

Absolutely a great place and location. Our plans completely changed after getting 6” of snow and then a deep freeze, but we were comfortable and were able to prepare all our meals with the equipment and utensils provided. Communication was great, check in easy and no extravagant check out demands. Can’t wait to come back

Wonderful time

We enjoyed this weekend away as we explored the history and adorable shops of Harpers Ferry. We loved being close enough to walk on the Appalachian Trail and into town.
