Detta hem ligger på en kulle och har en fantastisk utsikt över Shenandoah-dalen. Den stora verandan erbjuder en avslappnad miljö för konversation, äta, titta på molnen eller läsa fantastiska böcker. Interiören är ljus, luftig och rymlig. Köket är välutrustat med porslin, diskar, grytor och kokkärl. Rättvis handel kaffe, te och socker tillhandahålls. Det finns gott om parkeringsplatser i uppfarten. Förutom den spektakulära utsikten erbjuder huset snabbt och enkelt åtkomst till EMU och JMU på några minuter. Det finns livsmedelsbutiker bekvämt beläget i närheten och utsökt mat på gångavstånd, inklusive Bowl of Good och La Morena's. Shenandoah Valley har Blue Ridge Mountains i öster och George Washington National Forest i väster. Båda områdena är kända för skidåkning, vandrings- och cykelleder och dramatiska bladverk på hösten. Vi är också cirka femton miles från Massanuttan Ski Resort and Water Park.
Området runt Harrisonburg är värd för ett antal musikfestivaler, inklusive Red Wing Roots Festival, Shenandoah Valley Bach-festivalen och Shenandoah Music Festival. Staden har en lugn liten stads charm med imponerande allmänna parker och en årlig chokladvandring utöver andra festliga evenemang under hela året. Som en extra bonus erbjuder universitet i området ett brett utbud av kulturella föreställningar under hela året. Och det fantastiska amerikanska Shakespeare Blackfriars Playhouse ligger bara trettio minuter bort i Staunton, Virginia.
Det finns också en separat lägenhet över garaget till vårt hus där ett ungt par, Andrew och Sharon, bor. De är vänner till oss och hjälper till att hålla ett öga på platsen när vi är borta. Deras lägenhet är separat från huset, men din grupp kan se sin bil i garaget eller parkera vid huset eller se dem ute ibland.

Quilting Retreat

We are all over 70 and love quilting. It was good to catch up with family and show off the quilts we’ve made. We had a Quilts Of Valor presentation to our cousin who served in the army. Such a great event. We really liked the house because there was just a step or two to get inside. It’s a great place to stay.

Reunion

Three old friends get together once a year to catch up while seeing new areas of the country. We met at Harrisonburg, Va this year and stayed in this Vrbo. The house was exactly as advertised: clean, comfortable, spacious and located in a quiet neighborhood convenient to all the amenities we were looking for. Can honestly say that we would all recommend this place to accommodate visitors to the area.

Another beautiful stay

This house is lovely, well-equipped and has beautiful views from the living room, front porch and two of the bedrooms out to the mountains. It is a great place for a family vacation or get-together. It is spacious with five bedrooms, and a number of other spaces for cozy chats, movie-watching, and meals together. This was our second stay in the house, and we hope for another. When a question came up, Mary was quick to respond with help and advice.

Peaceful easy living

Mama’s weekend

Recital Weekend

Family gathered at JMU from Pennsylvania and Virginia to attend our daughter’s senior recital. The home exceeded our expectations - it was absolutely perfect for our family. The first floor master bedroom was easily accessible to grandparents. It was very clean and roomy! Everything we needed was there! PLUS, the porch was amazing and so were the views!

Nice home, beautiful view

This was a great house and we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view from the front porch. Downstairs is a big open kitchen and living area great for large groups. The host was very responsive and great to deal with. Good location in a nice location close to downtown and JMU. We will stay here again.

The PERFECT Rental For JMU Families

We've stayed at this property 4 times now. It could not be more perfect for JMU families. Situated just a couple miles off campus in a quiet neighborhood offering a panoramic view of the mountains, this house is a gem. The house itself is in immaculate condition and offers ample space for larger groups. Mary, the owner, could not be more attentive and responsive to her tenants. It's simply the perfect location. We will be back again and again.
