“The Hotel is set in lovely surroundings. Swimming pool is excellent. the room was small and a long way to walk to get to it. We had a large room facing the front gardens last time and prefer that even though it is a bit dated. The fried eggs they brought out for breakfast fresh from the kitchen were cold not certain how that happened.It was as if they came from the fridge.”

“We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. When the room costs £500 per night this is totally outrageous. The hotel was empty so it would have been a nice gesture to offer a 1pm checkout given at most high end hotels 12pm is standard. “Quiet location. Near retail park with cinema and food outlets. Useful as no meal available on Sunday night. Swimming pool and jacuzzi etc OK but very hot and changing room like a sauna. Bed very comfortable. Clean and lots of parking. Standard Holiday Inn.”

From a seamless check in with an amazingly warm welcome from Nicola and Cheryl who remembered us from previous visits.
