Quiet country retreat. Carming annex to main house - although attached to main house ....annex is completely private. Large upstairs & downstairs family rooms with SMART TVs. Gas logs in downstairs bedroom. Two bedrooms upstairs - one king and one with two twin beds. Lots of toys and books upstairs and outside play area for children. Unheated pool available to guests only (sorry but no unregistered guests). June 1 - September 15. (Pack and Play available)
The space
If you like being away from the busy hustle and bustle of city life you will love being in the country at Hattie's Hill retreat..... The farm has been in our family since 1838 .... We are about 15 minutes from Owensboro ... so you will need to have a car .... no shuttles or buses out our way ! But you can look out your windows and enjoy the quiet of country living.
Guest access
The annex includes the areas mentioned. Outside areas are available to guests. We have a cottage that we also rent so there may be other guests here at the farm when you are here. It only sleeps two. We also have a property manager's cabin on the farm where our property manager has lived for many years ! Jim and I are in residency, but you have complete privacy.
Other things to note
We have two tabby cats - Leroy Brown and Louis Armstrong. They are necessary to keep the mice and mole population at bay ! We have a fire pit, koi pond, gazebo, garden and small orchard. You are welcome to explore .... It is generally quiet here, but like all places .... we do not have control over neighbors who have cows, pigs, chickens, horses and goats. Those critters can sometimes be noisy !!!
