“Animal and Environmental harm caused by employees
I recently stayed at Silver Sand Resort on Havelock Island and was deeply disturbed by what I witnessed.
Several times, I saw resort employees throwing rocks at stray dogs that were calm, friendly, and non-aggressive. The island dogs are well accustomed to tourists, and Havelock Island is also widely known to be rabies free.
In one shocking incident, an employee hit a harmless dog with a rock as it walked past the property. The dog cried out...
“Property is clean and rooms are bright and clean. Enjoyed the beach, there is a tide that goes out, cant swim, when the tide is in its beautiful like a large warm pool.”
