This spacious, stylish 2‑bedroom unit sleeps up to 5 guests, perfect for families or groups. It features one modern bathroom, a comfy double bed, 2 singles, plus a sofa bed. Enjoy thoughtfully designed living space with clean lines, contemporary décor, and plenty of room to relax. Ideal for a peaceful Hawick getaway, close to park shops and a central location.
Interaction with guests will be via booking platform messaging app unless there is an emergency where the host will respond to you via call. Please make first contact via app otherwise we may not pick up your enquiry.
Princes Street is right in the heart of Hawick, a historic town in the Scottish Borders known for its beautiful scenery, strong sense of community, and deep roots in Scotland’s textile and rugby traditions.
The neighborhood itself is quiet and mostly residential, with a mix of charming stone buildings—many of them classic sandstone flats above local shops and small businesses. It has a lived-in, familiar feel, where you’re more likely to hear birds or the river than traffic noise. The area tends to be home to long-term residents, including a lot of single-person households, which adds to that close-knit vibe.
You’ll find everything you need within walking distance—grocery stores, cafes, pubs, and even Wilton Lodge Park, which is just a short stroll away. It’s one of Hawick’s gems, with gardens, riverside trails, a museum, and plenty of space for kids to run around or for a peaceful walk.

By Car: Princess Retreat offers convenient access by car, with free street parking available nearby. Major roads like the A19 and A1(M) connect Seaham to Sunderland, Durham, and Newcastle in under 30 minutes.
By Bus: Regular local buses run through Seaham, with stops just a short walk from the property. Buses connect you easily to nearby towns including Sunderland, Peterlee, and Durham.
By Train: Seaham Train Station is just a few minutes' drive or a short bus ride away. Trains run regularly to Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, and Durham, making it easy to explore the region without a car.
By Taxi & Rideshare: Local taxi services and rideshare apps like Uber are available and reliable for getting around Seaham and beyond.
- NO SMOKING INSIDE: We kindly request that smoking be avoided inside the premises. Any indication of smoking will incur a fee of £300 for odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
- We do require a separate short term rental agreement to be signed directly with us and a pre-arrival form filled prior to your stay.
